Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivana Loureiro.
Hi Ivana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Like many designers, I have had a love for beautiful things since childhood. I remember came from high school and the living and bedrooms was totally different my mom always was moving things, add new deco and always she leave the spaces tidy and nice. About the time I was 10 years old my favorite things to do was created ceramic pieces, jewelry and cook. I remember setting up a table in front of our house and sold that was probably what started my entrepreneur mindset. I understood I could make beautiful things and people would buy them! haha!
I was raised in Buenos Aires, I moved to the states when I was 23 years old. I got a hostessing job at fancy restaurant in Miami and also I worked for a styling brand. I lived 4 years in Miami before I moved to this amazing city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Sometimes it can be stress like any other business but if you truly love what you do those obstacles feel like part of the journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Business, to me, is about positioning and discernment.
I’m not just designing rooms, I’m building a point of view. Every project is intentional.
I’m not focused on doing more projects I’m focused on doing the right ones. Creating spaces that are intentional, elevated and deeply considered.
To me, real success is when a client walks into their home and feels completely at ease… and completely themselves.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
People often think my job is purely aesthetic and in many ways, it is a dream. I get to pick beautiful fabrics, search all day for the perfect rug, visit my favorite galleries, and occasionally share a long lunch with a client.
But what might surprise people is that what I love most isn’t the shopping it’s the learning.
Every project teaches me something new. About craftsmanship. About culture. About how someone truly lives. I’m constantly evolving through my work, and that curiosity is what keeps it exciting for me.
Design isn’t just about beautiful objects it’s about growth. And I never want to stop being a student of it.
