Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos.
Hi Carlos, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my business in 1991. Since then, I have been in four different locations, up until 2022, while my location was 5009 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA, when my shop was destroyed by LA Swat Team. On August 03, 2022, the Swat Team was pursuing a suspect and he happened to get inside my shop and so barricaded himself, while by force threw me out. So, eventually, the Swat Team go inside by force and for some reason destroyed everything I had at the time. I had to flee from there and had to continue my business from home, while other helped out by acquiring some used equipment, to help me keep going. Up until now, I have been working from home, trying to stay afloat with my business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a very, very hard road, even though at certain points the road got easier, having to go through many trials, perhaps I am here up until now
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about NoHo Printing & Graphics?
I am in the printing business, specialized in printing stationary for offices and other businesses, plus printing banners and signs, also I print T-Shirts, hats and any other textile out there.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Starting a business is difficult, perhaps the most important thing is to be able to maintain the business because the first couple of years if you don’t have enough money to stay afloat. It is difficult to maintain a business, perhaps if you struggle enough and persist, you can make it in the business.
