Check Out Lindey Sage’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindey Sage.

Hi Lindey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I lived in Alaska my entire life up until I decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting. I had no connections in the industry and no idea where or how to start, but my passion for creating outweighed the obstacles and I took it one step at a time. Last year, I got connected with an incredible actor and director who approached me to be the lead in her short film that I fell in love with. The film is called “Clothed Identity” (@clothedidentity on Instagram) and it discusses the battles of mental health, substance abuse and identity. We filmed last Fall and are now almost through post-production. Working with such a phenomenal team on this project and the energy and passion that was cultivated on set is something that has set a standard for me. As we wrap up on ‘Clothed Identity” and send it out into the world, new things are taking off – Lorraine Film Studios is a new production company that I have co-founded with Cara-Hope Lorraine, the director of “Clothed Identity”. We are currently in pre-production for the studio’s first feature film, set to film this Fall.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think when you approach a competitive industry, it’s easy to fall into the mindset of comparison. Looking at what other people are doing and feeling like you’re not doing enough. Something I’ve had to learn and practice is trusting in the process. Everyone’s journey looks different, and someone else’s success is not your failure.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an actress, writer, co-founder of the production company, Lorraine Film Studios. Current Projects: I am confirmed to act as the lead in Lorraine Film Studio’s first feature film, currently in pre-production.

What were you like growing up?
As a child, I remember having the biggest imagination. I think that is something that I’ve held onto and is one of the things that has led me to acting. I’ve always challenged myself. I’m very persistent when I set my mind to something. I think I’ve had that determined mindset for most of my life, but when I was younger the challenge was always not wanting to be seen. Not allowing myself to be venerable. As an actor that’s been something that I’ve had to work hard on. Breaking down those walls.
