Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Stone.
Hi Tyler, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started off as a drummer around 15. My pops asked if I wanted to play, and it was a quick yes. Some of my closest friends at the time, who are now full time musicians/producers ( Andrew Haas, Josh Jones) were always in bands.
They always inspired me so much. Enormous amounts of talent from a young age, a suprising amount of them graduated from Berkley School Of Music. You could tell early on how easily the talent came to them. I however did not have music down so naturally as they seemed to haha.
I loved to sing and do covers in the garage but I think there was either ego, or fear that let the frontman dreams go by the wayside.
I really took off as a drummer and right after graduation left to Hollywood to go to MI Musicians Institute.
There I was introduced my future band mate and friend of almost 20 years (Troy Spino) and started playing drums for “Wicker”.
We were the first project producer, Jason Evigan started creating and writing for. Look up his name and see what you find.
He’s worked with a few smaller like Maroon 5 or Benson Boone 😉 We did all the right things a young successful band in Hollywood is supposed to do. Party Play Party Play. Expecting everything to work itself out. I wouldn’t take back a thing but it taught me I need to work for myself. No one is going to work harder for you than yourself, and that’s an amazing yet humbling thing to realize. I am so grateful for the experience and the journey Ive been on musically.
Years after drumming in Wicker and somewhat “living in my past” I chose to really give this a shot. Put all my effort and eggs in the basket. Set goals everyday, go after them, make myself undeniable. I GET to do this. I chose this adventure and I’m the last person you’ll hear bitch or complain. This project from conception is hardly 3 years. Ive been on 106.7 KROQ/ 88.5 SoCal Sound/ 88.9 KLOS HIEDI & FRANK SHOW. I
Been fortunate to work with some great up and coming producers and just finished a full Music Video for the new single “Beggin” which will. be released in February 2026.
I want to play for the world, I want to inspire people with my music as I have been my whole life. I started this project with more of a “Country/PopCountry” type mindset, but learning and growing as an artist; finding out who I am as an artist, Im really trying to bridge the gap between a few different genres. Have a little something for everyone 🙂 Without getting too losl!
Inspire, give joy, and make you want to replay the songs again and again……. And again. We’ll be at the stadiums in no time. Crawl, ,walk, run…….. I’m ready..
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I truly am grateful for everything that comes. If it’s a challenge and an obstacle, that’s ok. I like to push and try.. Life is a lot about perspective, and how to navigate what comes at you. You shouldnt be afraid of “no”. Try again, try something different. Give it your all and you will never fail. Sounds like cheesy bulshit but I mean it. Life can throw some curve balls but God has had it planned out the whole time.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Me.
With respect I have it. I will set myself apart but be humble and accepting of all. I want to share my gift to the world I know I have.
Again sounds like cheesy BS but I have heard it before and I believe I have something different. Lets find it.
What were you like growing up?
Id walk around with cowboy boots, leather jacket……had to have on shorts, my French beret hat, and art supplies, all while mimicking Bruce Lee movies. One could say ALL over the place.
Ive heard stories of me head banging as a 1-2 year old to Michael Jackson.
