Daily Inspiration: Meet Tanisha Davis

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Tanisha Davis again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Tanisha, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Tanisha Davis and I am the Founder and Publisher of FEMI Magazine. The goal of the magazine is to support positive culture by displaying the amazing things happening in black and brown communities! I started this journey over 10 years ago as a blogger then later a journalist for multiple publications. In 2020 I took a leap of faith and got started on something I had been passionate about which was making sure the stories of black and brown people were told respectfully and in a positive space.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
This journey has been incredible! I’m excited about how things have been thus far and in 2025 we will be celebrating 5 years in business. Next year the brand will be expanding as far as location wise and I’m looking forward to that. You all are the first to hear about it! I feel a lot of people who support the brand will definitely be excited to see where we are going!

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

A perfect day for me would be me waking up with my family to the most beautiful view of the ocean. I’m drinking my favorite beverage and I head out to a breath taking restaurant where there’s no spending limit on what I want to eat and enjoy. The day is filled with shopping sprees, sand between my toes and loads of laughter! That is a day that I would think is like heaven on earth!
