Daily Inspiration: Meet Tamara Steele

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Steele.

Tamara Steele

Hi Tamara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Over (15) years ago, I decided to start a business entitled “Evolve, GWCC,” which stands for Global Women Collaborative Community. I envisioned creating a one-stop, supportive, and engaging community where women could address their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs. Under the umbrella of EVOLVE, I founded the “DO YOU” Retreat. The DO YOU Retreat is a unique opportunity for women to explore the “uncharted territory” within. Too often, women are not living the life they truly desire. DO YOU Retreat allows women to experience the power of discovering who they are so they can operate from an authentic space within. Women can dig deep into their souls to find answers to what they are supposed to do in this lifetime. My journey of answering the question, “Is there more to my life?” planted the seed for me to start my business. I have been a certified life and executive coach for over 20 years and a licensed minister. Both backgrounds serve me well in providing a meaningful retreat experience.

I have also been a practicing attorney for over 25 years. I have a heart for those who are abused in our society. My focus was on children who were abused (child welfare law). I recently took a position as an Administrative law judge for the State of California Department of Social Services. I view myself as a servant committed to changing the lives of those vulnerable in our society. In my free time, I am a vegan bodybuilder who just received Pro status through the International Natural Bodybuilding Association INBA. I believe one should develop a lifestyle that they truly love! I am often referred to as the lifestyle strategist.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest struggle along the way was finding my team or tribe that would help me execute the experience I envisioned creating for women. I learned that you are only as good as those you work with to create a memorable customer experience.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am proud of the “Do You Retreat” I created for women. It is more than just a getaway. I’ve created a memorable experience that positively impacts their mind, body, soul, and spirit. Women can let down their hair and remove the mask to explore what is “more” in store for their lives. Women discover what no longer serves them while uncovering what fuels their passion. One of the most heartfelt testimonials captured the retreat experience best: “I felt like I had been operated on, and everything that no longer served me was removed.” Another testimonial said, “I felt like I experienced a spiritual awakening, but I was not in church.”

I have a background as a certified life coach and executive coach for 20-plus years. I also am a licensed minister for six years. The combination of coaching and ministry gives me the tools to create a life-altering experience for women.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
We all are put on this planet to fulfill a purpose. Our mission in life should be to discover what that purpose is and pursue it with passion. It could start with tapping into whatever gifts, skills, or talents that you naturally have. Explore what you will do with those various gifts, skills, or talents. It’s critical to know that at the end of the day, you are to use your gifts, skills, or talents to improve someone else’s life.

Also, don’t limit yourself! Who says you can only do one thing? I realized that God placed in me multiple gifts, skills, and talents, and my assignment was to tap into everything inside me.
