Renowned event producer extraordinaire, Roberto Barron is a specialist in the production of events that are cutting-edge, sophisticated, and innovative. The fundamental conviction that telling stories is the most effective method drives his creative process and provides the impetus for his finished products. Roberto can develop experiential marketing campaigns thanks to his skill set, which encompasses all aspects of strategy, creative production, audience sourcing, social media, digital media, design, building, and public relations.

Born and raised in Salinas, California, Roberto has collaborated with many well-known musicians, including Elton John, Will Smith, Lil Wayne, and Ozuna.  It became Roberto’s signature to organize large-scale logistical events, conferences, and other experimental events. Roberto Barron is the ideal partner for creative endeavors due to his creativity, attention to detail, and the dedication he has for his clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely far from a smooth road. I don’t look at my journey as dealing with struggles, rather as Life Lessons.  Coming into the Entertainment Industry, I had zero connections to anyone. I didn’t know what doors to knock on, what people I should be reaching out to, and what places to be. Therefore, I knew I had to work harder and smarter. I was aware that every choice I made wouldn’t always be the outcome I wanted.

Regardless of my choices, I made sure I needed to be at peace with that. Often times we want things to go exactly how we think they should, but the truth is that life will do audibles on you and it will throw you a curveball out of nowhere. My vision has always been to involve as many people as possible, as many individuals with the same dream, and give people the opportunity that I never had.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
One of my biggest projects I am so proud of is that I contributed to the production of the first Latin AMAs Music Panel with Santa Cruz PR at the 2018 Music Panel event, which was held in honor of Telemundo’s upcoming Latin American Music Awards. This event was made possible by Roberto’s collaborative efforts with NBC Universal Telemundo. Roberto convinced the network and the Los Angeles Film School to host a panel discussion about Latinas’ contributions to music and their current role. The panel consisted of today’s popular Latinas such as: Aracely Arambula, Becky G, Roselyn Sanchez, Leslie Grace, and Gloria Trevi.

Rising from the success of the Telemundo event, Roberto decided to launch his own company Industry Connexion.  Industry Connexion is a dynamic quarterly series that offers an immersive experience into the world of entertainment. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, this event brings together top industry professionals to share their personal journeys, insights, and strategies for success. Designed for students and professionals alike, Industry Connexion serves as an informative platform to foster dialogue and inspire the next generation of creative minds. Our mission is to shape a more inclusive and representative industry, where diverse voices are celebrated and embraced.  Steve Lobel (manager, producer, and music executive), Zoe Young (senior VP of A&R at Epic Records), and Joshua Heart have previously served on the panel (casting producer for “The Four” season 2).

What sets me apart is that I created a platform where many individuals are given the opportunity to showcase their talent, a platform where they can express their ideas, and a platform that can lead to many other doors. This platform is one of many projects I’m so passionate about because it’s a platform that’s a stepping stool in the right direction and with a clear intention into creating and having a successful career in the industry. This platform allows many individuals with different journeys, different history, and different backgrounds to come together and create an industry that is more inclusive and well-represented. A platform with the intent to help many individuals with big dreams, something that wasn’t available for me when I started.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
During Covid, it forced me to become more creative. With the nation completely shut down, I found many ways to stay busy, to stay 1 step ahead of everyone else. I started to read more; I started to write more, along with many firsts that eventually led to many different interests which then led me to do a book tour with a client both virtually and physically.

Most importantly, I learned to adapt to the circumstance. One quick example, gyms were closed but with many gym essentials I own, I stayed consistent with my workouts in the parking garage of my apartment. What I’m trying to say is that I didn’t become dull or stagnant during Covid, I didn’t allow myself to fall into the unfortunate circumstance, but I found ways around it and created safe places for myself to become more creative with very little resources.
