Daily Inspiration: Meet Olivia Pucci

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Pucci.

Hi Olivia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, and growing up there really shaped my love and respect for music. Being from NorCal, I was surrounded by jazz, R&B, and hip-hop, and I learned early on that even hip-hop can be appreciated in the most sophisticated settings—because at the end of the day, music and nostalgia make us feel good. I also grew up in a family of singers, so every Thanksgiving basically turned into a talent show or family concert, which taught me that music was both celebration and connection.
After finishing music school and finding my place in Los Angeles, I began performing at some of the city’s most beautiful venues—The Beverly Wilshire Hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Terranea Resort, and Pelican Hill—as well as for private parties in Palm Springs, San Diego, and festivals like Uncorked Wine in DTLA Union Station. Those experiences opened my eyes to the kind of world I wanted to build. That’s really how The Sounds of Luxury came to be. I thought, if I am continuously being invited to perform for celebrity events, luxury resorts, and five-star locations, then I must truly be the “sounds of luxury.”
This vision inspired me to release my first album, The Sounds of Luxury, Vol. 1, which launched a series of projects that blend my love of ’90s R&B, soul, and hip-hop with a chill, sophisticated approach. Today, my mission is to curate unforgettable live music experiences that are both elegant and soulful—always rooted in the joy and nostalgia that first made me fall in love with music.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a perfect road, but I can’t find it in my heart to complain. I get to do what I love most in this world, and for that, I’ll take the tough lessons along the way. Like many artists, I had to learn how to balance the creative and business sides of music—late nights, long drives, saying yes to every opportunity I could, all while figuring out contracts, pricing, and how to position myself in the luxury market. Building The Sounds of Luxury pushed me to grow not only as a performer, but also as an entrepreneur.
One of the hardest moments came after I released my first album, The Sounds of Luxury Vol. 1. Just six months later, I lost my mom. She was my biggest cheerleader and one of my greatest influences in showing me how music connects us to our souls and to our happiness. Losing her was heartbreaking, but it also deepened my purpose. Every time I perform, I feel her spirit with me, and I’m reminded why I do this—to spread joy, to create connection, and to honor the power of music that she always believed in.
My challenges have shaped me into who I am today and fueled my passion to build something meaningful—something that lives on through every performance.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At my core, I’m a vocalist and performer, but what I really do is create experiences. Through The Sounds of Luxury, I specialize in curating live music that feels sophisticated, soulful, and memorable. We design performances for luxury resorts, corporate events, galas, weddings, and private celebrations—everything from solo piano and vocals to full bands with horns and even harpists. Every event is customized to create an atmosphere that feels elevated while still warm and joyful.
I’m probably best known for blending classic influences—jazz, soul, and traditional pop—with the nostalgia of ’90s R&B and hip-hop. It’s a sound that feels timeless but also fresh and unexpected in a luxury setting. I love watching people light up when they hear a song they grew up with presented in a classy, soulful way. That emotional connection is what sets me apart—I’m not just singing songs, I’m creating moments that people will remember long after the night is over.
One of the things I’m most proud of is releasing my debut album, The Sounds of Luxury Vol. 1, which launched as a series to showcase that blend of R&B, soul, and hip-hop through a chill, sophisticated lens. I’m also proud of the incredible venues and clients we’ve worked with—from The Beverly Hills Hotel to Terranea Resort and private celebrity events across California. But more than the prestige, what matters most to me is knowing I can transform a room and make people feel connected, joyful, and present.
That’s what I believe truly sets me apart—I don’t just provide music, I create the feeling of luxury, love, and connection through every performance.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe the most important quality behind my success is the joy I bring to every performance. People can feel when something is genuine, and for me, singing has always come from a place of love and connection. When I perform, my internal light shines, and that energy resonates with the guests. It’s not just about hitting the right notes—it’s about creating a feeling that lifts people up.
Alongside joy, resilience has also been essential. This path comes with challenges and setbacks, but staying positive, grounded, and committed has allowed me to keep moving forward. And ultimately, my ability to connect—with audiences, clients, and fellow musicians—has been the key to building The Sounds of Luxury. At its heart, music is about sharing energy, and I think people sense and respond to the authenticity and joy that I carry into every performance.
