Daily Inspiration: Meet Marvin Morris

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Marvin Morris again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.

Marvin, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I’m. Marvin Morris IV, I’m from South Central Los Angeles. I’ve been making clothing for almost 5 years now, my work is about Entrepreneurship and highlighting Black Business within the Los Angeles area. A lot of my experiences are seen through the lens of being a native Angeleno, being a father, and and a Black Man in America.

Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Honestly I’m just trying to scale my company to do more good for my village. I want to get the company to the point where we can give back more, opportunities, jobs and hope. I definitely want to make statements with in fashion through design and streetwear but the mission is bigger than just clothing. I want to curate vibes and provide people with experiences. The next chapter is about that, doing more and showing more gratitude to my community.

We also want to give folks a chance to get to know you a bit better so we’ve prepared a fun lightning round of questions. Ready?

There are a few of us in the Los Angeles entrepreneurial community that see what Nipsey Hussle did and were really inspired, I’m one of them. I think the Olympics and Super Bowl are coming back to Los Angeles soon and companies that position themselves to market and provide services to the people that that interest will generate will benefit greatly. Nipsey was a visionary and he laid a blueprint for us to follow. We’re here, we’re from South Central, we want to make him proud.
