Daily Inspiration: Meet Lori Goldsmith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lori Goldsmith

Hi Lori, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Lori Goldsmith has been in real estate for twenty-five years and has her license with The Prestigious Rodeo Realty Beverly Hills Flagship office. Lori was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in the affluent neighborhood North of Sunset in Beverly Hills behind The Beverly Hills Hotel. As a child, Lori fell in love with architecture. Lori’s Maternal Grandmother owned a home on the One Thousand block of Roxbury Drive commissioned by world renowned architect Paul William’s where she would frequently slide down the stairway banister to test its stability and report back. Lori’s childhood home was commissioned by famed architect Budd Holden, (and was the prior site of the rose garden on the Firestone tire family estate) Holden loved and played with natural light through lifted ceilings of glass and his love of terrazzo marble floors that Lori often roller skated on from one end of the estate to the other. Lori often visited Sunday open houses around her neighborhood and would comment on design and advise listing agents on how to show potential buyers the possibilities of the home, so it is no surprise Lori Goldsmith became a REALTOR® herself!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an active working REALTOR® has its daily obstacles and challenges but nothing warms my heart like seeing happy buyers and sellers and as I said earlier, my testimonials really do speak for themselves, so I try not to dwell on anything that might be challenging. .

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m most known for my transparency and expertise in reading people. The area of negotiation is The Most Important space in real estate. I’ve taken negotiations to new levels with no-filter line of open communication along with vast knowledge of the real estate market always while being kind and thinking ahead to avoid any potential hiccups in the deal.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
There’s risk taking in daily real estate but my biggest task is in representing sellers in off market transactions. With tight Non Disclosure Agreements and mutual non circumvent agreements, I’ve found a very lucrative space in the exclusive representation of sellers who prefer not to have their properties open to the general public.
