Jose, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am 33-year-old and have been doing interior design for the last three years. I have a small business dealing with curated vintage goods. I have been running the business for about one year now. I have always been creative since childhood. Since I was little, I have loved creating unique things and items. I was fascinated by the graphics and elements that I could interact within life. I think my mother saw my interest in design from a young age and always strived to support me. My mother’s support was instrumental as it motivated me to continue working towards being a designer and venturing into design.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey to becoming an entrepreneur is not easy. From time to time, one will likely face serious challenges that can discourage one from focusing on the ultimate goal.
Therefore, I would advise people to focus on developing a business or venture around what they are passionate about.
They must also understand that developing passion can take tremendous work and commitment. In design, for instance, mastering different methods and techniques does not spring out quickly. Instead, one needs to be passionate and motivated to develop unique techniques and concepts that will enable one to grow. Finally, it is essential to be professional throughout the journey.

I am passionate about design because it allows me to bring out appeal and beauty through different items and designs.
I always believe that creating and developing something with a great sense of beauty is possible. I usually strive to feel, select, sense, construct and compose things that bring a sense of beauty. My passion is very emotional, which drives me to work on getting the best out of any situation and it enables me to test different ideas and activities that resonate with me.

Reading is so important for growth and exercising our brains. It leads to creativity, increased vocabulary, the ability to see new perspectives, allows increased concentration, and boosts confidence in conversations
