Daily Inspiration: Meet Hakon Ademi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hakon Ademi

Hakon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
That’s actually a very interesting story, because I think I’ve come full circle!
Ever since I was a kid, I loved to entertain people! I also loved to play different roles and have my shows with acting singing and dancing in front of everybody. I still remember the first time I really felt in love with the theater my mother took me to a Christmas play when I was about four years old, after that, I was running around with a Santa’s hat and singing the songs at least from Christmas until the summer! Anyhow, for a long amount of time, I didn’t think this was what I was gonna do for a living, I was gonna entertain people! But I was gonna become a professional soccer player! That didn’t happen, and I really didn’t think acting was something you could do for a living unless you were born into some movie star family or something like that. It wasn’t actually until my mid 20s. I started acting professionally. That was in Norway, but my dream was always America and Hollywood. So in 2020 I decided I’m gonna go to Hollywood. So I gave up everything I had in Norway to move to America and attend acting school . But then Covid happened. So for a whole year I was sitting home waiting. Then finally the time came August 5th 2021 I arrived LAX with two suitcases! I attended New York Film Academy thanks to Daniel Ricken! And I got my BFA in acting for film and now I make a living mostly as being Cristiano Ronaldo in a few different television shows for kids, but in general my full time occupation is acting and modeling! And I love ever single second of it!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It have absolutely not been a smooth sailing! First of all, I had a pretty good life in Norway. I had a good job, I got acting jobs on the regular basis, I own my own home and I had a nice BMW! I gave it all up to follow my dream so I could afford attending New York film Academy, and live in Los Angeles. I could barely scrape together enough money and trust me I have been living on an extremely low budget for the last 4 years! If you know the amount of time, my card have got declined in a store. You wouldn’t even believe me! And then again the first thing that happened just about two and a half months after I arrived was that I was hospitalized after an extremely bad motorcycle accident! But I was determined I recovered but physically and psychologically. I focus focused on my goal. I graduated to school with honor. And I’m not working full-time as an actor in a model in Hollywood! The world’s capital of entertainment!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In the first place, I’m an actor! Most of my work is in film and TV, and I think I’m probably most famous for playing Cristiano Ronaldo at Topper Guild and Zhong! They’re both Youtubers with a huge amount of subscribers (50 millions).
But I do all the roles as well, usually the villain roles, such as a mafia guy or a bad guy in general, which I find very funny, because when you’re playing the bad guy, you don’t have to apply society rules when you do your character work! But because of my background in sports, I have a very good physique and I do often model for different brands. And I’m also very often playing in commercials as a sports guy. I really enjoy being a model and a representative for different sport brands. But my passion will always be acting. That’s where I belong.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of all, I will thank God! And then I will thank my parents is always been there for me, supporting me rooting for me and helping me!
And I will thank my old classmates from Nyfa, you’re an amazing group of people and I would never been here today if it wasn’t for all of you, you’ll forever be my LA family!
And I will thank everybody in the industry that have been giving me the opportunities to work in their projects, having me on board and believing in me!
