Hi Delayne, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Delayne Dixon, a renowned fashion designer, hails from the small town of Fairview, Alberta, Canada. Growing up on a farm, Delayne’s childhood was marked by a strong work ethic and a passion for creativity. She was an avid athlete, playing drums, and exploring her artistic side through classes.
In her senior year of high school, Delayne discovered her true calling after watching “What Not to Wear.” This sparked a fascination with fashion and styling, leading her to pursue a degree in Fashion Design at the Art Institute in Vancouver.
Upon graduating, Delayne founded her eponymous women’s wear brand, “Delayne Dixon.” Through dedication and perseverance, she has built a brand that has gained international recognition.
Beyond her design work, Delayne has a deep passion for travel, finding inspiration and solace in exploring new cultures and destinations. Italy, with its rich history, art, and architecture, holds a special place in her heart. The country’s timeless elegance and la dolce vita spirit continue to influence her design aesthetic.
Delayne remains humble and grateful for the unwavering support of her friends, family, and community. She is passionate about continuing to make them proud and inspiring others through her craft.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve been doing this from the ground up for 14 years. As a one-woman-ran business, I have fallen and failed more times than I can count! But that is 100% part of the process, you have to make mistakes in order to learn and grow. I’ve rebranded a few times, spent money on the wrong things, felt overwhelmed and anxious lots of times. I think its important to be passionate about what you do, because in times of struggle, that’s the only thing that is going to keep you going.

Delayne Dixon is a luxury women’s fashion brand that embodies the essence of unapologetic femininity. Based in Vancouver, Canada as a one-woman, artisan-led business, each piece is handcrafted to order, available in sizes up to 4XL, because every woman deserves to feel seductive and powerful.
Inspired by the vixen spirit and mob wife sophistication, Delayne Dixon’s designs dare to be bold, edgy, and sexy. With a passion for experimenting with textures and fabrics, every garment is a masterpiece that tells a story.
A regular fixture at New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, Delayne Dixon has garnered international acclaim. Featured in the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and Elle, the brand’s designs have also graced the red carpet at the Oscars.
Committed to sustainability practices, Delayne Dixon often uses deadstock and recycled materials in her garments, as well as compostable packaging. To reduce textile waste, she has also created a “Zero Waste” collection of small items derived from scrap material in the studio.

Even though I am the only employee of my brand, I would NOT be here without the outpouring of love and support by my family, friends, and community. It is simply not possible to create a brand without the support of others. Through purchases, likes, shares, comments and networking, my brand has grown substantially! I am very grateful for my family, especially my mom and grandpa, they have kept me going and motivated to keep expanding!
