Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Fury

Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I got my start in the beauty industry because I’ve always had a deep passion for self-expression and creativity. Growing up, I spent hours experimenting with makeup on myself and friends, and over time, I realized that what started as a fun hobby could actually turn into a career. So, I decided to pursue professional training and certifications in makeup artistry.

In the early days, I worked as a freelance makeup artist focusing on perfecting my craft. In the early 2000’s we didn’t have social media as it is today, so i ended up getting into the Corporate World for stability. About a year ago, I took a leap and started sharing videos on Tiktok and Instagram. I began posting tutorials, beauty tips, and product reviews, and to my surprise, my content started gaining traction quick. My followers grew, and I found myself connecting with a much bigger audience than I had ever imagined.

Through consistency, authenticity, and a love for beauty, I was able to turn my social media presence into something that has opened up so many doors—working with amazing beauty brands, record breaking lives at the Tiktok headquarters, and continuing to inspire others to embrace their own beauty. Today, I’m lucky enough to do what I love while making a positive impact on my community and followers.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! Like many others, I’ve faced my fair share of struggles along the way. One of the biggest challenges was facing harsh comments. It can be tough to stand out and people feel the need to chime in about what they don’t like about you or your style of makeup.

Another struggle was balancing my passion for creating content with the pressures of staying relevant. The beauty industry moves so fast, and social media can feel like a never-ending cycle of new trends, challenges, and expectations. I’ve had to remind myself that authenticity and staying true to my vision are key, even when it feels like I need to keep up with the latest viral trends.

There’s also a lot of behind-the-scenes work—editing videos, managing collaborations, and dealing with negative comments or criticism that comes with putting yourself out there. At times, it was hard not to let those things get to me.

But despite all of that, I’ve learned and grown so much. The struggles are part of the journey, and they’ve made me stronger and more determined to continue creating content I’m passionate about.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a beauty influencer and content creator, that specialize in makeup artistry and creating tutorials that are all about being unapologetically yourself. I’m known for my creativity, bold looks, and honest product reviews, but what really sets me apart is my willingness to go against the grain. I don’t follow trends just for the sake of it; I make my own rules and encourage my audience to do the same. Beauty, to me, is about expressing who you truly are, without holding back.

I’m most proud of staying true to my unique style and voice in an industry that’s often about fitting into certain boxes. From my bold makeup looks to my unfiltered approach to content, I take pride in being different and not being afraid to stand out. My followers know that what they see is real—there’s no pretending, no trying to fit into some perfect mold. It’s all about embracing your individuality and breaking down beauty standards.

What really sets me apart is my authenticity and my refusal to conform to what’s “expected” in the beauty space. I’ve always been driven by creativity and the desire to push boundaries, which is why I love sharing content that’s both unique and inspiring. I want to challenge my audience to think outside the box and find their own voice in the beauty world—because, at the end of the day, it’s about celebrating who you are.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest piece of advice is to stay true to yourself and trust your journey. It’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing, but what will set you apart is being YOU. Don’t try to fit into a mold or follow trends just because they’re popular—be creative, experiment, and find your own voice. People are drawn to authenticity, so let your passion shine through in everything you do.

Something I wish I knew when I was starting out is that growth takes time, and it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. There’s no shortcut to success, and you’ll face setbacks, self-doubt, and tough days. But those are the moments that will teach you the most and shape your path. Be patient, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes—they’re part of the learning process.

Lastly, don’t be afraid to network and collaborate with others. Send those emails, get into those DM’s, push your way to have a seat at the table because closed mouths don’t get fed. The beauty community is vast, and you’ll learn so much from connecting with people and brands who share your passion. Stay motivated and keep creating, even when it feels like no one is watching. You never know who is paying attention, and consistency will eventually pay off.
