Conversations with SARZ

Today we’d like to introduce you to SARZ.

Hi SARZ, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up fast, taking on the role of a caretaker before I even understood who I was. For a long time, that weight turned inward and showed up as silence and heaviness. Over time, I realized that the same energy that once wore me down could also become my fuel.

I started creating, first with painting, then with drawing, tattooing, modeling, and makeup. Each form of art became a way to express what words couldn’t and creating became how I processed everything. It became my therapy, my rebellion, and my way of turning pain into something that moves.

My story is about transformation and turning what’s messy into something extraordinary. Everything I’ve lived through has shaped how I show up now: grounded, independent, and constantly creating from a place of creativity and compassion.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change a thing. The hard parts became my teachers, and I love the SARZ I have become. I’ve faced my share of mental health battles and still navigate anxiety, but I’ve learned to see my sensitivity as a kind of magic rather than a flaw. Feeling deeply lets me connect, create, and move through the world with intention. It’s my power, and I try to use it for good—first for myself, and then for everything I touch.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I define myself as a visual or multidimensional artist. On canvas, I specialize in abstract mixed media painting, but across all my mediums, I focus on color, shape, and building worlds that don’t yet exist. Much of my work explores divine femininity through creatures and forms that live in the realms I dreamed of inhabiting when my own reality felt inescapable.

Meticulousness runs through everything I create. Some of my pieces take years to complete because every part needs to feel intentional. I’ve learned to balance that precision with curiosity and ride the edge between perfection and letting my mind translate these dimensions down into a physical form.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to take care of myself with immense love. When growing up, I was unkind to my body & mind and wasn’t sure of my own needs and boundaries. Over time, I realized that nurturing myself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. When I show up fully for myself, with unconditional love for who I am, I can create more freely and give life to the visions that live inside me.
