Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Chahayed

Hi Sandra , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was looking for work out of high school and the first place I applied was out of flower shop. Since then I have been workinf as a florist for 20 years.
That is where my passion for flowers started. Although my dream career Growing up was to be a doctor.

The way I got to where I am was developing a love for all things flowers. (But Is still having that passion to become a doctor)

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road but I wouldn’t say it’s been rough either. Like anyone starting a business there are ups and downs. The struggle I had was the fear of owning a business. I knew nothing about running a flower shop. I am fully self taught as a florist And a business owner that’s where the fear came from.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a florist in the heart of the san fernando valley. I have been a florist for 20 years. What I am known for is my hat bix style arrangements. What I am most proud of is how far I Have come and grown as a florist and how long I have been In this industry.

I feel what sets me apart from others is my Eagerness to learn And how each Client Is treated like family

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality that I feel is most important to my success is my love for all things flowers. My passion want to keep learning and growing. The best quality anyone can have when owning a business is the confidence in yourself and in your work.
