Conversations with Piera Blodwell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Piera Blodwell.

Hi Piera, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My fashion story/background stared when I was 18 years old, I started working for Giorgio Armani in Milano. I worked in different areas as: window display in the Milano store, moved on to the style department and ended up in the sales department. I got a wide range of experience from this time and got awarded for my expertise/experience.

Moving to Los Angeles in 1992 and opened up one of the first showrooms in Beverly Hills carrying fashion designers such as Missoni, Roberto Cavalli and La Perale etc. Consequential I started dressing celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Scarlet Johnson and Jennifer Lopez to mention a few.

After a few years I started collecting vintage and one-of-a-kind samples and opened up the first studio rental archives with more than 10,000 samples ranging from haute couture gowns, ready-to-wear clothes, jewelry, shoes, headpieces, gloves etc.. With the archive I could cater to the full “need” in the fashion industry. I provided vintage samples to top stylists and artist for performances, music videos, album covers etc. with talents such as Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Carrie Underwood

Ever since then PR SOLO has been blooming and today we are also representing brands for Public Relations together with our studio rental archives department and growing

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
to be honest, the only struggle I had was to introduce the European style to the US market, but we are talking 40 years ago
