Conversations with Natalie Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Moore.

Hi Natalie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Ever since I was a little kid I always loved acting, singing, music, and performing. I always knew that this was what I wanted to do. I was very involved in musical theater when I was younger and I always felt my happiest when I was on stage. When I was 13 I decided I wanted to try breaking into on-camera acting so I started taking acting classes and submitting self-taped auditions because at the time I was living in Colorado and couldn’t audition in person in LA. When I was 18 I made the big move to California and it has honestly changed my life. I have met some amazing people and had a lot of life-changing experiences. I have gotten to where I am today by working hard, trusting in God, and not giving up.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the first struggles I faced was overcoming my shyness as a kid. I was always very shy and I would get really nervous acting or singing in front of people. People would laugh at me when I told them I wanted to be an actor and a singer because they couldn’t imagine me doing either of those things because I was so shy. It took me a while to break out of this and gain confidence in myself, but I’m glad that I did.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I love to act and sing. These have always been my favorite forms of expression. I was fortunate enough to play the lead role of Chelsea in “Life Like This” which is a gritty drama that touches on the severity of domestic abuse. I am very happy with the success it has been getting so far in the film festival circuit. I also recently got to play the role of Hannah in a thriller called “Hidden Lives” which is also going to be released to film festivals very soon. Hannah’s personality is drastically different from Chelsea’s so it was a fun challenge for me to play these very different characters. Hannah is a singer so I also got the opportunity to sing an original song called “Tokyo” in the film which was very special to me. One thing that sets me apart from others is that I am usually involved behind the scenes as opposed to just solely working in front of the camera. I often help out with crew duties on set and I have been involved in the post-production process of multiple films including Life Like This and Hidden Lives. I am proud of these films and am really grateful to Abraham Lopez and the team at A Greek God Entertainment for bringing these stories to life and for giving me the opportunity to be a part of them.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Some of my favorite childhood memories were during my musical theatre days as a kid. I can’t pinpoint one exact memory from these times, but I remember the mixture of excitement and nervousness before going on stage and the happiness I felt while performing that really stuck with me.
