Conversations with Miles Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miles Jackson. 

Hi Miles, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Vihanga and I met in Chicago after both graduating from art school. We decided to launch a label and worked together for a year before moving to Los Angeles during the 2020 lockdowns. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The pandemic was a big obstacle for us, but it also allowed us to slow down and lay a foundation for ourselves. We took the time to learn to work together and build a tight community. When we first moved, we really focused on finding the right people to work with. Because we took that time, we’ve been able to be really intentional with our brand. 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Our strength is our distinct backgrounds. Myself being raised in the United States, and Vihanga in India. We’re always creating in ways that’s combines and contrasts our two experiences. It allows us to tell a really unique story and make in ways others could not. Right now, we’re most excited about designing jackets, and pants. We want to give people an elegant piece of clothing they can wear over and over. Last summer we released our first core collection and since then have been experimenting with these shapes and feelings.
