Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Bushnell
Hi Laura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Both a conduit and spiritual guide, A beautiful Council of Mothers have been channeling through me to assist people to live a softer and more authentic life. I am a multidimensional woman who is able to see and read energy fields. I can also read tarot cards to pinpoint accuracy a very large percentage of the time. Timing is the real challenge, it is the most difficult part of being a conduit, but when it’s correct I can feel it in my bones. I also perform weddings. My office is surrounded by my holy relics of the female saints.
How did this happen?
I was a young mother of three, married to a successful man, living in a mansion and involved with Junior League, when I had a kundalini opening that changed my life. I was called into service.
In many ways I was ripe to open, perhaps a vacuum for spirit. Having followed the path that was structured in society to get married and have children, I was still longing for something. I kept thinking why I am not as content as others seem to be. My marriage, good in some ways, felt empty. I had three beautiful children, a nanny, great in-laws and wonderful friends. What was wrong with me?
When I was searching for what I was here on this planet to do, I became fascinated with the process of dying. An elderly lady next door was in the final stages of her life, so I began to sit with her. The process of dying was so powerful for me as I experienced her last breath. To understand more I attended a workshop with Elizabeth Kubler Ross, Ram Dass and Steven Levine.
When studying with Elizabeth K Ross on Orcas Island, Washington in 1980, I had a very powerful experience. I went into a small chapel on the water. An unlocked church. There was a bible on the high altar, so I opened it to a passage. I began saying a prayer out loud, “please keep my children well and safe.” My head began to move up and down as if my body had become a living pendulum. There was an energy that seemed to come inside my body — or was it more of myself?
When I returned home my left hand would start to vibrate and swell and a heart would form in the center of my palm. I would take out a pen and paper and sit down at my dining table. My hand and pen would automatically write.
The writing spoke of me teaching. What in the world would I teach? I thought. I have nothing to teach.
I would be traveling. How would that happen? The writing said I would be traveling all over the world. How could this happen?
I continued to write, sometimes for others.
My hand would move so fast it was unreal. The writings were from a group of master souls of the feminine called A Council of Mothers. Listen, I grew up with no religion. Apparitions of the Divine Mother began to happen when I was about four years old so this seemed to be part of who I really was.
A minister and his wife from a resort town in my state, rented our downstairs apartment. After experiencing the channel, he invited me to come speak at his church. That created an audience for me that would continue for many years, and I would meet many dear friends. So, all the sudden I was teaching! I would go there a weekend a month and channel an accented energy which a wondaful woman from the church would transcribe.
My transcriber, Robin, and her husband, Len, were spies. He was the head of the CIA in Indonesia during the Viet Nam War. I would stay at their home and work in their extra office. My room had a tiger rug made from a tiger that villagers asked Len to kill before it killed more of them. I would do my readings on that rug. I would go into trance and have no memory of what I had told her. They told of many things I have seen come to pass. I was becoming a prophet.
Sublimation – an aspect of celebrated elevation, of ascending above and gaining a greater perspective. A way to become humble.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I went through a huge life change when I had my kundalini experience. I followed the guidance I was given with total trust and surrender. I gave up time as a young mother to serve. At the time, 1979 few people had heard of my calling. I was judged so much because no one was working with the dying. It was a new field. No one I knew was channeling spiritual beings. I had to just trust. I divorced my husband, moved to California and began a new life — teaching and healing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been a Transformational Clairvoyant for over 45 years. I like to accelerate people to help them have the life they really want. I also channel a group of entities called The Council of Mothers that help people feel loved and teach ways of loving oneself and others.
I am proud of how I have operated my business allowing it to unfold. I have always learned so much from my clients. I know that they are doing the work themselves, creating what they want. Sometimes we just need a flashlight.
What’s next?
I am teaching a 5 day retreat September 20-25 called a Celebration of the Elements in Northern California. I am having so much fun planning the days and evenings and the meals! I have been teaching this since 1987 but with COVID my last one was 2019 so I am so excited about teaching again!!
Each day we listen and focus on one of the elements, with an experience for each element. For example, on Water Day we will go to the beach; Air Day we will fly kites; Fire Day we will gather with a bonfire and Earth Day we will take a hike in the trees. Each day also has meditation and teachings from The Council of Mothers. When people are balanced elementally they seem to have more moments in the NOW.
