Hi Larone, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey as a content creator started in the simplest way: by taking photos of the food I was eating. What began as a personal hobby quickly turned into something more when my Instagram following started to grow, and brands and restaurants began reaching out for collaboration opportunities.
Early on, one of my biggest challenges was figuring out how to turn my passion into a sustainable income. While free food was great, I wanted to monetize my work and build a career from it. Over time, I found my path and have had the opportunity to work with major brands like Burger King, American Express, and Disneyland.
Today, I am a food content creator, but my work goes beyond the typical influencer label. I create high-quality videos and photography for restaurants and brands, curating content for advertising and promotional purposes. In addition to my personal Instagram, @nintendough84, I own and manage several food-based pages alongside my wife Tiffani, including @noodleworship, @tastethisnext, and @surfnoturf. I also contribute to hip-hop culture through my brand @rapwelldone. One of my proudest projects is the cookbook Noodle Worship, authored by my wife and I, which showcases some amazing noodle dishes that we have been exposed to since starting this food journey.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Some of the struggles were getting smaller restaurants to buy into the vision. They did not quite understand the power of social media at first, so it was a bit challenging to get clients at first. Also, the food content creator/influencer field is highly competitive.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Officially, being a Food Content Creator is my Social Media claim to fame. But I see myself as a multifaceted creator, being that I am a photographer, chef, videographer, and social media curator. As a Food Content Creator, restaurants and food brands (mostly) pay me to create videos and photos with their food, to showcase to my following as well as their own. I am most proud of the Noodle Worship cookbook that myself and my wife Tiffani created. It is truly the highlight of my food journey. What sets me apart from others is that I take great pride in my creations and I always go above and beyond for my clients.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family is what truly makes me happy. My wife and kids mean everything to me. Aside from that, food, sports, video games, hip hop, pop culture and being an entrepreneur makes be happy.
