Today we’re excited to be connecting with Kristofer Foster again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Kristofer , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Hello there! I am Kristofer Foster. I was born in Beaumont Texas and raised in Mansfield Texas. I am an Actor working out of Los Angeles, California represented by two Talent Agents, one Commercial and the other Film, in the Los Angeles, CA area. I am currently a working Actor still pursuing my dream of becoming a well renowned figure in the acting industry. I am different than most, based off my approach to the craft, with having a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA-Hollywood, CA). Having obtained a Degree in Fine Arts gives me an edge. My creativity and unique ways of wanting to stand out from other Actors, are based off of my appearance and demeanor simply by just being myself. I feel having these characteristic traits about myself naturally, helps to carry me along on this journey. While working on a VR Commercial set, this opportunity showed me the inner workings of what to expect on my path as an Actor. Also, as well as being apart of the TV series “1883” helped to compartmentalized how big this journey will become. As time moves forward, I can prepare myself as to what to expect when the opportunities presents itself. I am seven years in learning that patience is key and also a virtue. My plans are to keep perfecting the craft of acting, and move forward towards bigger and better opportunities.
Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
I will start off by saying I finally learned you must accept the word “NO” in Hollywood. You have to mentally prepare yourself to be denied opportunities from auditions because it is simply just not your time yet. The journey has been an on going battle for seven long years in the acting world. Striving in every way possible to hear a “ YES” has been a downhill battle. I have parted ways with a team of Agents to partner up a group of Agents that better fits the dynamic of who I am. This is very important because your Agents are key to knowing what roles works best for you. In the midst of working with my current team, it has been a road of resilience. Many obstacles stood in my path. Covid set us back tremendously although the year to come was more promising then the last. It was a smooth road for the most part offering a lot of opportunities. Still in the end, the word “NO” was inevitable! However, I continued to hold my head high. The years following were promising, or so I thought, until the Hollywood Writer’s Strike emerged in 2023. I continued to strive for more time to be patient and fight the good fight, by never giving up for what you want and believe. Moving passed the strike I have met great individuals along the way of my journey receiving advice on how to pivot my position for more opportunities. As an Actor, you are always evolving to be better whether that is on set or working outside of acting with a nine to five job or two. “Survival Mode” as some call it, is what prevails by others while waiting for a “YES” and your next break not knowing what to expect can be very discouraging. Especially by those who do not have an appreciation or understanding of the Acting world. You can not starve yourself while waiting for that door to open. You have to create your own idea of what to expect and how to achieve greatness. I have collaborated with friends on Short Films created on our own, to continue to grow and perfect the craft of acting. I have created music and music videos for fun along side acting to continue my creativity in the art world. A new endeavor such as music is something I would like to immerse myself in more. I lived in Los Angeles for ten years. Due to LA not being economically and financially affordable it became harder to continue living in the “City of Angels” The year 2024 has been an interesting time for me because I had to leave California due to unforeseen circumstances and live in Texas. In acting, fighting for a part never stops no matter how far along or how many acting techniques you acquire you are still highly susceptible to the word “NO”. Moving back to Texas seemed like a setback, but in reality, it was a chance for me to hit the “reset button”. It was a time for me to reflect on the changes and growth I had made to become a better version of myself. I do plan on returning to Los Angeles soon, but for now, I’m preparing myself mentally to go in with a new perspective to acting. There are ups and downs in this career but most, only talk about the positive. My story has both and that is the pathway to my achievements and failures. When I finally do reach my destination of success, I can look back and talk about how much fun it was to work towards the last chapter. As for now, 2025 is in full effect and my morale of positivity is elevated. I am excited to see what is coming my way with my team of Agents. One Actor who I aspire the most is Denzel Washington. I live by his three famous quotes-“Live rent free in you head”, “If you don’t fail, you’re not even trying” and “If you hang around the barbershop long enough, sooner or later you’re going to get a haircut” Based on the latter, sooner or later I will get my haircut.

I am also giving thought to the idea of doing Theatre in New York as another option to my fresh start. I would also like to reach out to my friends in the acting world to come together collectively and promote a Short Film and present it in Park City, Utah’s Sundance Film Festival and hit the slopes on my Snowboard while I am there visiting.
