Today we’d like to introduce you to Brady Adam.
Hi Brady, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born in a small town with a little more than a thousand-person population called Webster, New Hampshire. I lived in New Hampshire where I opened my own barbershop at the age of 24, until the end of 2021 before I moved to Los Angeles. I’ve spent countless sleepless nights and days working 15 hours trying to make my dream of living and cutting hair in Los Angeles a reality. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some incredible brands in the hair world, including Wahl Clippers and Hattori Hanzo Shears and to educate other barbers and stylists across the country.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a struggle, working 15-hour days 7 days a week, being away from my friends and family for long periods of time, and moving 3,000 miles from home to pursue my dreams have all been struggles in their own way, but at this point in my life, I embrace any and all struggles. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you, and I have really embraced that saying
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a barber that specializes in men’s hair. Any style, any lengths, I specialize in, I am most known for my heavily textured hairstyles and my scissor work. I am a barber that has been nominated for 6 international hairstyling awards and has been named top 25 in those awards twice. What sets me apart from others is my drive to really create a fully customized cut for every single client that is unique to them and their head and face shape as well as their personality and daily life
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was growing up, I played a lot of sports. Baseball was my main sport and I always wanted to try and make it my career path, but after a serious injury, I realized that was not going to be possible, so I found hair and threw myself into it
