Conversations with Alondra Hurtado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alondra Hurtado

Alondra, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Alondra and I’m currently a student with a full time job who moved to Los Angeles around 3 years ago. I moved here to purse undergraduate school but have always been extremely creative all off my life which is how I ended up pursuing content creation after living here. I have always loved expressing creativity whether it was through school projects or helping at home with my parents which is why I believe content creation has been in some ways easy for me. I’m currently juggling finishing my last year of undergraduate school, being a 9 to 5 worker and growing my content creation career which has been overwhelming and stressful but also rewarding in a lot of areas of my life. Moving forward I plan to work on my self development like happiness and confidence and continuously accomplishing my goals like starting my own business and health goals.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not. lol

One of the struggles has been change even as a person who likes it. Change is obviously good but I think it can also be overwhelming in some situations like I experienced after moving to a new state. For me moving was overwhelming when I realized 1 year after moving how much things had changed for me. On the other hand change taught me resilience and being adaptable in new situations which is a skill I want to always have.

Another struggle has been learning. I think this can maybe come from my generation where we fall into the trap of wanting things so fast and like “now”. It happened to me when I changed roles in my 9-5 and I was being trained for a new position. I was getting overwhelmed with myself for not knowing everything and making mistakes instead of looking for ways that I can help myself learn the information the best or just allowing myself to make mistakes because I was new at something. This also happened to me with content creation. At first I was comparing my work with others and failing to realize that it would take me training and time to be really good like them. So, I would say another struggle has been just unhealthy expectations with myself and finding ways to create healthy expectations but also pushing myself.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator who creates organic and ad style content for brands. I specialize in social media content for platforms like Tiktok and Instagram working with brands in niches like fashion, health, beauty and lifestyle.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
The thing I like the most about our city is that there is so much diversity when it comes to people and places. There are so many different cultures and ideas. There are also so many different places and activities to visit and take part in which is really cool.
