Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Posthuma
Hi Victoria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my business after I divorced with two young boys at home and no child support or alimony. I went into real estate blindly, not really knowing what I was getting into! Turns out I’m pretty good at it, and have been licensed in real estate since 2003. I successfully raised my two boys who are now both grown men and married. One living in Santa Barbara with his wife, and the other living in Tokyo with his wife and my two grandchildren. I am single to this day. I love to travel, love horses, art, my dog, cooking, and I have a huge passion for wine and food culture!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road! Real estate is extremely unpredictable and the market has crashed twice in my career. I’ve done everything from selling foreclosures to short sales to also hand selling wine at Costco in the evening to supplement my income so I could take care of my children.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Are you ready to take your real estate journey to the next level in Southern California?

As a real estate agent, and owner of Art of Home, I pride myself on being able to really connect with people visually and emotionally. I have a fine arts background and as a result, I have a keen eye for the aesthetic in my branding and marketing. I also have a very big passionate personality.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am very community driven. I work by referral and my philosophy is to give before I ask. I love always to collaborate with community and specifically the arts, the equestrian world and the food and wine genre. Those are my passions as well as historic architecture and travel.
The best way to support my business is to keep me top of mind as a community collaborator and lifestyle curator not just someone who sells houses. I am a native southern California and know the region very well.
