Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Violas.
Hi Stephanie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Stephanie Violas, owner and Master Instructor at Club Pilates Little Tokyo, has been a leader in the fitness industry for over a decade. With a degree in Education and a passion for alignment, form, and rehabilitation, Steph has built her career around helping clients truly understand and master the Pilates method in a safe, effective way.
Her own Pilates journey began after years of knee pain from marathon running and a low back injury. Looking for something that would help her heal without sidelining her love for movement, she took her first Pilates class—and never looked back. The low-impact yet deeply challenging exercises not only alleviated her pain but also built strength she didn’t think possible without the high-intensity gym workouts she’d always relied on. Pilates gave her a new way to move, one that built her up rather than broke her down.
Since then, she’s been committed to sharing that same transformative experience with others. Steph’s classes are known for being dynamic, challenging, and precise—leaving clients feeling stronger, more connected, and often still “shaking” hours later.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Steph’s passion for Pilates has taken her far beyond the walls of one studio. In addition to Club Pilates Little Tokyo, she’s opened Club Pilates UTC in Irvine and acquired locations in Cerritos, Cypress, and Monrovia. Running multiple studios is no small feat, and while COVID brought its own set of obstacles, her biggest challenge has been balancing her role as a business owner with being a mom to three children—all under the age of four.
The demands of parenting and leading multiple teams can be intense, but Steph credits much of her success to the incredible, hard-working staff at each location. She believes in empowering her instructors and managers to lead with confidence, creating an environment where both clients and team members feel supported and inspired.
We’ve been impressed with Club Pilates Little Tokyo, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Club Pilates Little Tokyo is part of the largest premium Pilates brand in the world, offering reformer-based Pilates classes for every fitness level. The studio is dedicated to making the benefits of Pilates accessible to everyone—whether they’re recovering from injury, building strength for their sport, or simply looking for a low-impact way to stay active.
Steph and her team are passionate about creating a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere where clients feel comfortable challenging themselves. Every class blends precise instruction, mindful movement, and a focus on functional strength, helping clients not only meet their fitness goals but also improve the way they move in everyday life.
