Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha White.
Hi Sasha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into facial therapy started during a very intense moment in my life. After a miscarriage and surgery, I was leaving the hospital still under anesthesia when a very clear thought suddenly appeared in my mind: I’m going to do facial massage.
It was strange because I had never done facial massage before and had never planned to work in this field. But the idea came so clearly that I said it out loud immediately in the car when my friend picked me up from the hospital. She was surprised, but I felt completely certain.
At that time Los Angeles was going through the chaos of the pandemic. People were isolated, stressed, and deeply in need of human touch and connection. It turned out to be the perfect moment for this idea.
I started practicing on friends almost immediately, and from the very first sessions the results were dramatic. Faces looked lifted, jaws relaxed, and people felt an incredible release of tension. Word spread quickly and my schedule filled up very fast.
At the same time, I had another idea — to use my handpan in a completely new way. At the end of each session I play the handpan on the client’s solar plexus for a few minutes. The instrument is tuned to 432 Hz and combined with specially designed sound frequencies that help guide the mind into a deeply relaxed state. Many clients experience a strong emotional release — some laugh, some cry, and some describe seeing vivid inner visuals. It’s a very unique experience that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
As an immigrant who has lived in the United States for more than 12 years, I built my business completely from scratch without industry connections. Today I work as a professional facebuilder, educator, mentor, and business advisor in the beauty industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I can honestly say that when you truly find your purpose, doors start opening almost naturally. Opportunities appear, the right people come into your life, and things begin to flow much more easily. In many ways I felt that once I discovered this work, a lot of things aligned for me.
That doesn’t mean there were no challenges. Building a successful business requires consistency, creativity and passion. You have to stay focused and keep going even when things are uncertain. I won’t lie — I dedicate a huge part of my life to what I do.
But the beautiful part is that when you are doing something you truly love, it doesn’t feel like work anymore. It becomes part of your life and something that brings you real joy. I feel happy doing what I do, my clients feel happier and more confident, and the business continues to grow.
I think that kind of alignment — loving your work, helping people and being able to build a successful business — is something many people dream about.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business stands out because of a very creative approach and the way I run my social media and connect with clients. As you can see on my page, people are laughing, happy, and relaxed. My sessions are not silent spa treatments.
During the session I’m a big storyteller, almost like a life coach. Clients feel comfortable sharing their problems. We talk, we laugh, sometimes we even cry. At the end I often hear the same thing: “Thank you for the experience and the conversation.”
I also created a unique musical experience — 432 Hz handpan drumming played on the solar plexus at the end of the session. It helps people release stress and emotions.
Another special part of the studio is my French bulldog, Mr. Wow, who provides what I call “Frenchie Snore Therapy.” Clients love hugging and kissing him, and he makes the whole atmosphere very warm and joyful.
The facial work itself is very powerful — my technique releases tension and stress from the face and jaw in just one session. People leave with bright faces and say they feel like a brand-new person.
I also teach online and in-person classes for estheticians and massage therapists, and I consult beauty professionals on marketing and building their own businesses.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is being my mom’s little hero. When my parents bought candy, our family of four — my brother, my mom, my dad and I — would divide everything equally into small bags so it would be fair for everyone.
But I always secretly saved a couple of candies. Later, when my mom would say she wanted something sweet with her tea but we didn’t have anything left, I would run to her with my little hidden stash and happily share it with her.
We didn’t grow up in a wealthy family, so for me that feeling of caring and giving was pure happiness. That sense of generosity and taking care of others stayed with me my whole life. I still take care of my parents today — the only difference is that now the “candies” have become a lot more expensive.
