Community Highlights: Meet Miles Madison of Beverly Hills Periodontal Inst

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miles Madison.

Hi Miles, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m Dr. Miles Madison, a board-certified periodontist based in Beverly Hills. My journey in dentistry began with a passion for combining precision, science, and aesthetics to help patients regain both function and confidence in their smiles.

I started college at 16, and after finishing USC , I completed dental school at UCLA. I then pursued a residency in periodontics and dental implant surgery at UCSF Over the years, I’ve built a practice focused not only on surgical excellence but also on personalized, evidence-based care—often integrating salivary diagnostics and cutting-edge regenerative therapies. I’m also deeply engaged in research and education, lecturing nationally on topics like oral microbiome health, implantology, and digital dentistry.

Today, I’m proud to run the Beverly Hills Periodontal Institute, where we serve a wide spectrum of patients, from complex surgical cases to cosmetic dental implant procedures, always with a commitment to ethical and comprehensive care.

In addition to my clinical work, I’m active on social media (Instagram and TikTok) where I use my platform to simplify complex dental topics and debunk misinformation. I’m passionate about making oral health education accessible, engaging, and science-backed for both patients and professionals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has mostly been a smooth road, with a steep learning curve. Establishing a specialty practice in Beverly Hills requires grit, determination, and a commitment to excellence. But because I have a deep thirst for knowledge and a genuine love of learning, I’ve viewed most challenges as opportunities for growth rather than roadblocks.

Building trust with patients and colleagues took time, and balancing the demands of clinical care, business operations, and continued education, while raising a family, hasn’t always been easy. Creating educational content for the public also came with its own learning curve—translating complex science into engaging, accessible information (sprinkled with a bit of humor) isn’t always straightforward. But every step of the journey has helped shape my practice and my voice, both in the operatory and online

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the Beverly Hills Periodontal Institute, we specialize in advanced periodontal care, dental implant surgery, and regenerative therapies, with a strong emphasis on preserving natural teeth whenever possible. Our practice is known for blending precision, innovation, and personalized care—whether it’s treating advanced gum disease, performing complex implant cases, or guiding patients through minimally invasive surgical options.

What sets us apart is our commitment to evidence-based treatment combined with cutting-edge technologies like salivary diagnostics, laser-assisted therapy, digital workflows, and microbiome-focused care. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all dentistry. Each treatment plan is customized to the patient’s biology, lifestyle, and long-term health goals.

I’m most proud of how the brand represents trust, integrity, and education. We strive to be a resource not just for our patients, but for the public and dental community as well—raising the bar for what periodontal care can look like when it’s deeply rooted in science and compassion.

Whether someone is seeking help for gum disease, interested in dental implants, or just wants a second opinion, we’re here to provide thoughtful, honest, and modern care in a warm, supportive environment.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My best advice for finding a mentor is to stay curious and intentional. Look for people who not only have the experience you admire, but who also embody the values you want to carry forward in your own career. I’ve found that mentorship often starts organically—sometimes just by asking thoughtful questions, showing genuine interest, and being willing to learn without ego.

For networking, what’s worked well for me is showing up consistently—whether that’s at study clubs, conferences, or even in online communities. The key is to offer value, not just seek it. Some of my most meaningful professional relationships have grown out of casual conversations or collaborations where the goal was to elevate the field, not just exchange contacts.

Relationships in dentistry—and in any profession—grow from shared purpose and mutual respect. Don’t be afraid to reach out, ask questions, and stay engaged. You never know who’s willing to open a door for you until you knock.
