Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Fischer.
Hi Karen, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been a Paralegal since 1999 with my main focus being Construction Litigation. In 2019, I had received a phone call from a young man who had a legal document preparation business. He asked me a few questions and that was it. Two years later in 2021, he reached out to me to ask if I’d like to buy his business. I said, yes!!! And, in February 2021, I had a business. In the beginning, I tried out several different types of law, only to land on Divorce and Family Law document preparation as my main focus. I have been able to help hundreds of people with their divorce or other family law document preparation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Family law has been a smooth road for me. The double edged sword for me is handling all aspects of my business. I’m the receptionist, the bookkeeper, the document preparer, etc. There are only so many hours in the day and I could work all of them and still be busy. So, it gets a little bumpy when I want time for myself or take a vacation.

We are a legal document preparation business. The California State Bar does not allow us to give legal advice, so we can only prepare documents at a customer’s direction. I specialize in divorce, family law and civil litigation. What sets me apart from others is my hands-on approach with people. People appreciate my quick turn-around time. It’s my goal to provide excellent customer service. I have over 50 Yelp reviews showing this. I would like people to know that I stick with a job until completion. My goal is for anyone wanting to be divorced and the divorce is uncontested, then I take great satisfaction in returning them to single status, so that they can go out and enjoy their lives as they desire.
