Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Arroyo.
Hi Justin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all began in 2018, when I started training my coworkers for free after they asked for help getting into shape. Over the course of a year, I helped them collectively lose more than 50 pounds. They encouraged me to consider personal training professionally, telling me it seemed like more than just a hobby—it was a true passion.
In 2019, I walked into Self Made Training Facility in Rancho Cucamonga. The owner immediately approached me and asked if I would consider joining the team as a trainer. I accepted the opportunity, and I haven’t looked back since.
I was fortunate to become busy right away, with clients quickly filling my schedule. That rapid growth pushed me to make a life-changing decision: I left my full-time job to pursue personal training as my own business.
Fast forward to 2025—God has continued to bless me with a thriving business and the ability to make a meaningful impact throughout the Inland Empire. I give all glory to God, because without Him, I wouldn’t be here.
Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible mentors, building deep community connections, and creating a trusted system that has helped over 200 individuals transform their lives.
I’m a believer in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I truly believe He uses me to speak life into my clients—whether by planting a seed of faith or encouraging them to grow in their relationship with Him. I’m not a pastor, but I love the Lord, and if I can do His work through personal training and sharing His word, then I’ll gladly do so.
He has blessed me with the ability to provide for my family, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, there have been struggles in my journey as a business owner—because what is business without failure? There were seasons where I had little to no clients. I found myself praying desperately to become busy again, questioning God, and at times even feeling angry with Him. I wondered why I was pursuing personal training when I could just work a stable 9-to-5 job, earn a consistent paycheck, and support my family with less uncertainty.
But through prayer, obedience, and shifting my focus from chasing business success to simply chasing God, I was blessed to make it through those difficult seasons. As a believer in Christ, I’ve come to realize that many people—including myself at times—call on God only when they’re in need, without truly committing to obeying Him.
There were moments when I lost sight of my purpose. I was in it for the wrong reasons, and honestly, I forgot why I started in the first place. Trials and setbacks in business made me question everything.
I’m far from perfect, but I’ve learned that it must always be God first—never me. I give Him all the credit for everything I’ve accomplished. I want Him to receive all the glory, and I simply ask to be used as a vessel for His purpose.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What should you know about me? I’m a personal trainer based in the Inland Empire, dedicated to helping women build confidence through strength training and guiding them on their weight loss journeys.
I’m known for being a tough coach—pushing my clients past their limits and helping them create new ones. My goal is to help women believe in themselves, both in the gym and in life, and to eliminate the self-doubt that often holds them back.
What sets me apart? It’s simple: I care. I show up. I listen. While the work is up to the client, my role is to provide the structure, accountability, and belief they need to succeed. Real transformation only happens when they commit fully—and when they do, the results speak for themselves.
I offer both in-person training and online coaching through my custom training app, making it accessible for women no matter where they are in their fitness journey.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
God and just being passionate about being a personal trainer. nothing else.
