Community Highlights: Meet Jesus Mora of Twentyfour-Eight & Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesus Mora.

Hi Jesus, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins in 2015 when I decided to help my longtime friend manage his music career. I originally launched Twentyfour-Eight & Co. at the brink of 2016 as a booking and promotion agency. Booking my artist along with similar underground artists to open for some of the hottest emerging acts at the time such as PNB Rock, Rich The Kid, Kodak Black, Famous Dex, and many more. Soon after, we began booking more than just nightclubs and started booking college events, tours, and music festivals. This all came to an end with Covid-19.

Upon graduating college in the midst of the pandemic, I had no idea what I was going to do especially with the way the job market was looking. But then one day when my friend who is actually one of my cofounders now asked me, “So what are you going to do with Twentyfour-Eight.”? Knowing that live events and festivals weren’t going to return anytime soon, I proceeded to tell him, “Idk, rebrand or something”.

And that’s when it hit me. Let me utilize my degree in Advertising and Entertainment Marketing to rebrand my current agency into a Digital Marketing agency for artists.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Defeinelty hasn’t been a smooth road getting to where I am. If I could go back in time and change anything in terms of the sacrifices I had to make to get where I am today, I would do everything the same. I definitely had to spend some long nights at the office because our success didn’t happen overnight.

In the beginning, I was lost when we were trying to figure out what services we would be providing, trying to build industry partners and most importantly trying to build a client base. We didn’t close our first deal for an entire four months after launching our agency. Which made it very unmotivating, but we were able to see it that light at the end of the tunnel. Believe it or not even funding this project at the start was difficult. What helped me was consistency and just being patience.

We’ve been impressed with Twentyfour-Eight & Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Twentyfour-Eight & Co. is a creative agency that provides unsigned and emerging artists with the resources needed to succeed in the music industry. Generally, only major label artists have access to such resources. This is why our goal is to help artist’s music go viral while remaining independent, which separates us from a record label or a regular marketing agency. We foster a variety of label services ranging from marketing, brand strategy, and production services. Sometimes, independent artists find it challenging to expand their brand, engage with their fans, and market their music while trying to remain focused on their craft. This is where our team steps in as a multi-service label provider so that artists can still succeed in the industry while remaining independent.

We are proud of what we do because we get to empower independent artists. Every single person on our team is passionate about what we do.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is a personal fulfillment but is also infinite. I see success as the journey and milestones that are reached while trying to attain one’s goal.
