Community Highlights: Meet Jade Larney of Jade Larney Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Larney.

Hi Jade, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After graduating high school, I was laser-focused on growing up as quickly as possible. During my undergraduate studies, I carried a full course load year-round and earned my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in three years. It was an achievement I was proud of, but one that left me questioning whether the medical field was truly where I wanted to spend my life.

I moved back to my hometown of Youngstown, Ohio, to explore my family’s business before committing to further education in a career I wasn’t passionate about. Over 40 years ago, my father began acquiring investment properties, gradually building a privately held portfolio that he now manages through a residential and commercial leasing business. At just 20 years old, I dove in headfirst, working alongside him and absorbing everything I could about real estate.

It wasn’t until then that I truly understood what it meant to be passionate about something. Real estate opened my eyes to the power of ownership, strategy, and community impact.

Six years passed quickly as I mastered the ins and outs of property acquisitions, leasing operations, real estate law, business relations, construction management, and much more. It was an education that money can’t buy—hands-on experience that shaped both my professional skills and personal drive.

I wanted to share the power and opportunity that real estate provides on a scale that once felt impossible for a small-town Ohio girl. Against all odds, I moved 2,500 miles to Newport Beach, obtained my real estate license, and began law school to further expand my reach and understanding of the field. Not long after, I interviewed with Anvil Real Estate. As a new licensee, I didn’t yet know which brokerage would be the right fit, but I did know I wanted the same hands-on, family dynamic I had in Ohio. From the moment Anvil described their strong company culture, I knew it was a perfect match.

Within my first 12 months, I successfully negotiated and closed over $15 million in sales. As I finish my law school journey, I hope to continue building the trust of my community, sharing the knowledge and empowerment that come from smart, intentional real estate decisions, and helping families grow generational wealth for years to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve definitely faced challenges on my journey, but I value each obstacle because they’ve shaped who I am both personally and professionally.

Entering the real estate industry at a young age, I had to learn how to earn trust and credibility in rooms full of people who were often much older and more experienced than me. I also had to learn how to navigate the unpredictable nature of entrepreneurship — from inconsistent income to self-discipline and time management. At the same time, balancing a full-time real estate career while pursuing my law degree has required a tremendous amount of focus, organization, and resilience. There were moments when I questioned whether I could manage both, but those challenges taught me how to prioritize, stay consistent, and lead with purpose.

I wouldn’t call the road smooth, but I’m grateful it wasn’t. Every challenge built a new layer of confidence and clarity about the kind of professional — and person — I want to be.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I founded Jade Larney Real Estate with the mission to redefine what real estate representation looks like. By merging my experience as a Realtor® with my legal education, I help clients navigate one of life’s biggest investments with strategy, structure, and long-term vision. For me, real estate isn’t just about buying or selling homes — it’s about building legacy through intentional decisions.

In my real estate practice, I focus primarily on coastal Orange County properties, helping clients navigate everything from first-time purchases to investment acquisitions and probate-related sales. My services go further than listing and selling properties. I specialize in uncovering the hidden details of tax strategies, title concerns, and legal factors that turn a good deal into a great one.

Concurrently, I am pursuing my Juris Doctor at St. Francis School of Law. My long-term vision is to bridge the gap between law and real estate by helping families protect their assets through smart planning, proper titling, and seamless property transfers.

Whether I’m negotiating a complex deal or updating my investor clients on new landlord laws, my focus always remains the same: helping people make smart, confident decisions that build lasting wealth.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is having lemonade stands with my sister during the summers. We spent hours planning every detail, making signs, mixing lemonade, counting change, and trying to figure out how to get more cars to stop. At the time, it was just something fun to do together, but looking back, it was the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey.

Those early experiences taught me how creativity, strategy, and connection can turn a simple idea into something meaningful. That same sense of excitement and drive has followed me into my career. Whether I’m negotiating real estate deals, building my brand, or finding new ways to grow my business, I still carry the same spark that started at a little lemonade stand on a summer afternoon.
