Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Caraballo.

Hi Gina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Founder of For Love & Beauty| LA Makeup + Brow Artist, specializing in clean, organic, sustainable products. I got started as a makeup artist in the Los Angeles area 20+ years ago. I started out working weddings and eventually got to work in TV/ Print Advertising. Then two years ago, I decided to ad “brow artist” to my career, based in Hermosa Beach servicing all of the South Bay Area, and I love it!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have to say, starting out as a makeup artist 20 years ago wasn’t as cutthroat as I see it today. There was also no social media so we did have to work harder when it comes to the networking and showing up part. No one cared about how many followers you had you really just had to be a good, hard-working artist who said yes a lot, even to free jobs. Now as a brow artist, I’ve been enjoying doing this and learning how to market my business well since I’m in a salon and not freelancing. The challenging part now would be starting over at 41 years old as a new brow artist while raising a four years old as wife and growing my business! But it’s going great!

As you know, we’re big fans of For Love & Beauty. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m Gina, Founder of For Love & Beauty. I’m an LA Brow+ Makeup Artist specializing in clean beauty. I’m based out of Hermosa Beach and service brows to South Bay clients. What sets me apart from what I hear, is getting a different experience, I’m gentle, I customize a trim, tweeze or wax if needed, I massage your eye area for increasing blood circulation to nurture your follicles with a hair growth organic oil, which I make and sell, I then teach you how to care and fill in your brows. I lean more on the natural side so I don’t use anything with harsh chemicals, no brow laminations or micro blading, etc.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My honesty. While I can be making a lot more revenue offering all of the trendy brow services that may damage your brows in the long run, I keep it real and I truly care about your brows and health more than my revenue.
