Today we’d like to introduce you to Hollywood Talent On The Rise: Songwriter & Producer Tommy Driscoll

Hi Tommy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a songwriter/music producer originally from Connecticut. Music has always been a big part of my life. Piano was introduced to me by my grandma at the age of four and I haven’t looked back since. Growing up, I played in rock bands, jazz bands, marching bands, you name it. In 5th grade, I enrolled in an after-school broadcast journalism club that gave me my first taste of audio recording which then grew my interest in audio engineering and music production.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my favorite things about the music industry is that there is no set path or right way to be successful. For me, a majority of my luck came from viral videos on TikTok after many failed attempts with other social media platforms. When you’re looking to build a career in music there’s a new challenge everyday. Your biggest meetings get canceled, you run out of money, your ideas get stolen, and the list goes on. It definitely has not been a smooth road but you just have to focus on the art and the rest will figure itself out.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make music everyday with artists in a wide variety of genres (pop, hip-hop, EDM, etc.). What I feel a lot of people don’t understand is that behind every song there is a producer and a team of writers who create together. It is not just the artist whose name you see on the cover art (for the most part). I’m one of those other people in the room and it is my job to help the artist see their vision.

I’m most known for my piano playing and top-line melodies. I love to show my writing process on social media with my “Writing on the spot” series that demonstrates this! @TommyDriscollOfficial
