Check Out Matthew Lombardi’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Lombardi.

Hi Matthew, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Honey Guide Records was started by a couple of best friends who graduated from California State University Northridge in 2025. All being graduates of the music industry program, we decided to start our own record label with the hopes of creating a community based business that brought together some of the best musical talent, incredible artists, and friends from all around.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the most difficult things we faced as recent college graduates was finding a job right out of school, which was one of the key reasons we started Honey Guide. We wanted to put our efforts into creating a platform for all who are facing these same struggles in hopes to pursue their music career, as well as to make a living as an artist in Los Angeles.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Honey Guide Records is known for our incredible community we have built, with all kinds of artists from the San Fernando Valley and beyond! We specialize in putting on live music shows, community events and activities like markets and open mics, and record label services for artists. We are most proud of creating a welcoming and warm environment where everyone has the opportunity to pursue and have their artistic talents spotlighted. What sets us apart from other labels is our focus on community and accessibility for all. We always take pride in the positivity we promote with each new project we take on.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
With the music industry being a compact place where everyone is fighting for a spot, it will be interesting to see how much more competitive and creative the industry gets in the next 5-10 years. Also taking into account the rise of AI, we believe it is more important now than ever that real artists are given the chance to shine and create.
