Check Out Linda Bradley’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Bradley

Hi Linda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In many ways, I’ve always been a photographer. When I was about 8 years old, I got my first instamatic camera that took 126 film and had a rotating flash cube on top. I was in love from that moment on. I felt a freedom in being able to roam around and capture the world with my camera.Eventually the Polaroid came out and that was a whole new world of possibilities! As the years went on, my equipment got better and so did my skills. My camera became an extension of my body and I took it everywhere, and shared my photos with everyone. One day at my daughter’s school, a friend surprised me with the most thoughtful gift. She had taken about 100 of my photos and had business cards made for me. I was stunned! I had never really thought about turning my passion into a business. With that kind gesture, and encouragement from my family and friends, Linda Bradley Photo was born.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of my biggest challenges was learning to see my work through the eyes of others. In the beginning, I struggled to recognize that I had something truly special to offer, but my perspective shifted profoundly after battling breast cancer in 2014. That experience transformed the world and everything became more vivid, more meaningful and even more beautiful. It gave me a deeper appreciation for my craft and the confidence to embrace my unique vision.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My specialty is capturing people in their truth, whether it is a child’s first birthday, a red carpet event, or anything in between. The moments that interest me are those that often times nobody else sees. The fly on the wall moments. The truth.
I genuinely love meeting new people and learning about their lives. It is an honor to capture their stories. I believe photos are our memories of a moment in time, and moments are meant to be cherished. I’m proud to be able to give that gift to my clients.
I think that what sets me apart from many other photographers is my ability to adapt to each person’s individual needs with a sense of ease and flexibility. I love the creative process of collaborating with my clients. Each job is unique and special, and I find it exhilarating to see what we can create!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a curious child. I found beauty everywhere around me, in the smallest things. Some days I would spend hours walking in nature and creating art out of the treasures I would find. My mother is an artist, so I grew up surrounded by creativity and art. I was constantly drawing or creating. I always sensed that I would grow up to be some sort of an artist.
I’ve enjoyed a career as an actress for over 35 years and as a photographer for 20 plus, so I suppose my instincts were correct.
In my spare time, I love to read, spend time at the beach with my dog and my family, and bake cakes for Foster and underserved youth through the organization For Goodness Cakes. There is nothing more important to me than my family and friends and I live in gratitude for them and this beautiful life every day.
