Check Out Karen Tefft’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Tefft.

Hi Karen , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil.
While studying administration in college, one of my teachers encouraged me to take a solo trip south of Brazil. I had no idea how life-changing that moment would be because on that trip, I met my husband on the beach, It was love at first sight.

From that point on, everything changed. I moved to Los Angeles because of him, not knowing a word of English. I had to learn the language, adapt to a new culture, and completely rebuild my life outside my comfort zone.

For years, I kept searching for a business idea but nothing really clicked… until one day, I came across a few girls talking about UGC on TikTok. I thought, this is so cool, I would love to do that. I already had a passion for creating content.

So, on my birthday three years ago, I gave myself a gift: I took a leap of faith and decided to try it!

Even with all the doubts about my accent, about whether brands would want to work with me, I showed up anyway.

Fast forward to now: I’ve created content for over 350 brands, including names I never imagined I’d work with.

If someone had told me back then that this would be my reality, I wouldn’t have believed them.
But here I am. And I’m just getting started.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road.
As an immigrant, I carried so many insecurities about my accent, my English, and whether I could really do this.

I had to learn how to create organic and ad-style content, how to edit, and how to communicate in a way that resonated with an American audience. And let me tell you, content creation takes practice. It takes time to sharpen your skills. But the more I created, the better I got.

I started to gain confidence when I realized that brands were hiring me because of the very things I was insecure about. The things that made me different those were my strengths.

So I leaned into that, and I found my own way of creating.

And I kept showing up, even when it was hard. That’s how I found victory, not in perfection, but in persistence.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a multi-niche creator, I partner with brands to bring their vision to life through high-quality, aesthetic, performance-driven content that stands out and converts. I create both organic UGC and ad creatives across multiple niches, always with storytelling, authenticity, and results in mind.

My story and who I am is what makes me unique, I used to think that being different was a disadvantage but now I have discovered that my uniqueness is what truly makes you stand out!
Today, I celebrate everything that makes me me, and my authentic self is what I pour into every piece of content I create.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
The time I spent on my aunt’s farm in Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil. Playing around the farm with my brothers and cousins, surrounded by wildlife…
