Today we’d like to introduce you to Josefine Forsberg.
Hi Josefine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story really began with curiosity. I grew up in a small city in Sweden and entered the modeling industry at a young age. Suddenly I was traveling the world, working with incredible teams and experiencing an industry that many people only see from the outside. Modeling taught me discipline, awareness, and how to express myself through presence. But very early on I also realized that if you’re not grounded internally, it’s easy to lose yourself in the external world.
So alongside my career I developed a strong practice of self-reflection. Writing in my diary, meditation, and learning to understand my inner world became just as important as the photoshoots and campaigns.
A turning point came when I went through a two-year health journey that forced me to slow down and truly listen to my body and mind. What first felt like a setback became a profound transformation. It taught me that our challenges often carry the wisdom we need most.
“Life leaves clues for us everywhere — if we are willing to look for them.”
That realization led me to create projects like my podcast Elixir Hunt, where I explore the “keys” that help us unlock deeper levels of ourselves, and Unlock Your Desires, an audio experience where people are guided through voice and presence to reconnect with their inner truth.
What makes me unique is that my work bridges two worlds: the external world of expression and creativity, and the internal world of reflection and personal growth.
“For me, the real journey has always been learning how to bring those two worlds into harmony.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In many ways, my childhood was very smooth. I had what I would call a dream childhood, surrounded by love, freedom, and curiosity. That upbringing made me brave and open when I stepped into the world, but it also made me a bit naive. I naturally believed the best about people until life eventually showed me otherwise. That trusting side of me is still there today, but now it’s combined with a deeper awareness.
Many of the challenges I’ve faced have been connected to the pressure I placed on myself while building a career in the modeling industry. From the outside, it can look glamorous and exciting—and in many ways it is—but it also comes with intense expectations and scrutiny.
During high school I struggled with anorexia and bulimia, and for many years I lived with very strict demands on myself regarding body image and performance. Later in life, after the end of a ten-year relationship, I went through one of the most challenging periods of my life. The stress I experienced during that time led to a severe health crisis.
For two years I went through a deep health journey, dealing with autoimmune issues, toxins, and heavy metal overload in my body. At one point I was experiencing 38 different symptoms at the same time, and I often felt like I was living in a prison within my own body. My only mission during that time was to get my health back.
It took two years of rebuilding myself—physically, mentally, and spiritually—to recover fully. Looking back today, I understand that this period changed me in profound ways. What once felt like a disaster ultimately guided me toward clarity about who I am, what I value, and the path I’m meant to walk.
Today I feel more authentic, honest, and clear about my life mission than ever before.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started my career as a model, and I’ve been working internationally for many years, creating stories with brands through campaigns, photography, and social media.
But over time my work has grown into something bigger than modeling. I’ve always been very curious about life and personal growth, so I’ve started building my own creative platforms where I can share more of that side of myself. I’m currently working on projects like my podcast and other concepts where I use storytelling and my voice to explore ideas around self-discovery, curiosity, and living authentically.
What sets me apart, I think, is the balance between my outer world and my inner world. I’ve spent years working in fashion and media, but at the same time I’ve always been very reflective about my own experiences and what life is teaching me.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve allowed my path to evolve naturally. I started as a model, but today I’m also creating spaces where people can connect with themselves, reflect, and hopefully feel inspired to explore their own journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve never really seen life in terms of good luck or bad luck. I believe more in the idea that the energy and intentions we bring into the world tend to come back to us in different ways. I’m a strong believer in karma, and I think that when we act with honesty, good intentions, and respect for ourselves and others, life tends to open doors for us.
At the same time, when we move too far away from our inner truth or start acting from ego or fear, life often becomes more complicated. Things feel heavier, and we end up fighting our way forward instead of moving with the natural flow of life.
For me, one of the most important lessons has been to stay connected to what feels true and aligned. When you make decisions from that place, opportunities seem to appear more naturally and things start to move with less resistance.
So rather than chasing luck, I focus on living and acting with clear intention
