Antonio, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Oo, I wake up, make coffee right away because I can’t start my day without good coffee or espresso. I then wash up and do my skin care routine and go right into singing lessons to warmup my voice.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Antonio Liranzo, a pop artist built for the dance floor. Two years into my rise and already passing 500,000 streams, my sound is driven by dance beats, slick pop hooks, and fearless queer confidence. I blend high-fashion attitude with after-dark energy to create lover boy music that moves bodies and lights up the room. Loud, bold, and addictive—my releases are made to hit hard, stay glossy, and leave no option but to dance.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a young boy enjoying Britney Spears cassette tapes and dancing to Snow White. Just living life and dreaming big in my hot pink tank top.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Around when I turned 30, I moved to Los Angeles from New York. I battled a lot of demons then and started writing music, and felt like I found my voice through music and poetry.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version is the real version of me, I do believe that I’m a little tougher in public because you have to be but, I will say the reason why I connect with my fans so well, is because I am authentically a lover boy that is emotional and a baddie!
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I did my best and I showed that even if you come from nothing, you can make yourself something and create your own legacy!
