Alexa Tokich on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Alexa Tokich and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexa, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to live a more authentic life, to not shrink myself into people’s perceptions of how I should be. To express myself in a creative way that can help others do the same.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Alexa Tokich, creating more than just art—crafting a sacred object, a vibrational portal. This is an energetically charged, multi-layered ritualistic creation. My medium and technique honors that.
My work is a spiritual dialogue as it is a visual one — so trust I my intuition with the materials.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was the good girl, the perfectionist, the overachiever, always having to prove my worth…but over the last few years through intensive individual therapy, deep spiritual grounding and allowing of myself to release that version of me and become who I truly am with no fear of rejection or judgment. I am me, an artist, a romantic, a delicate soul wrapped in courage and strength.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has taught me that I am strong, resilient, resourceful and that I possess an unshakable determination to move forward, no matter what and to give myself grace in the process.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project close to my heart is to open a cat sanctuary on my own land. I have always had a big heart for animals, particularly cats. I’ve had cats all my life and they have all given me so much joy and comfort even in my darkest moments. In my free time I enjoy fostering or rescuing cats and finding good homes for them.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret not living my life on my terms, to reject the voices of those who want you to succumb to the system that our society has created. We are meant to be free, create, love and dream. I would regret not allowing myself to explore the what if…
