Exploring Life & Business with Kristen Sagona of Three Sisters Coffee & Tea

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Sagona

Hi Kristen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Three SIsters Coffee and Tea Started when my husband and I had a building located in Burbank and didn’t know what we where going to do with it for the future. We spent some time cleaning the space and really saw a need for a coffee shop in that area and it just grew from there!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road at all! From dealing with the city permits, to the health department it was not easy. We had to fight every step of the way to get things moving and it took 2 years to open. I am really thankful we owned the building so we were not paying rent on a space that we couldn’t open,

We’ve been impressed with Three Sisters Coffee & Tea, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our business is a small family owned and operated coffee shop. We sell coffee, tea and pastries. The shop was named Three Sisters because I have three daughters. We are known for delicious coffee that is locally sourced and our ceremonial grade matcha. We love to hold pop up and events for local artists and vendors who do not have a brick and mortar store to help their brand grow along with us. We love our customers who are now dear friends.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We were not open during covid
