Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Kopyan
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey in the performing arts started with dance, which opened up a world of expressive possibilities for me. The transition into acting, modeling, singing, and now influencing felt like a natural progression, driven by my passion and desire to explore various fields in the entertainment industry. Each discipline complements the others, I believe, and provides me with a unique set of skills needed to bring characters and emotions to life.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve definitely had my share of ups and downs. Auditioning can be really tough—there have been so many times when I’ve gotten so close to booking a role, even being put on hold, only to hear “no” at the last minute. It’s hard not to get discouraged, but I’ve learned to accept it and keep pushing forward. Balancing school with my love for dancing, acting, singing, and modeling has also been a challenge. On top of that, being a content creator isn’t always easy—some days you get negative comments that can be hard to ignore. But I remind myself why I started and stay focused on what matters most: doing what I love.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My background in dance greatly enhances my approach to acting and performing. As a dancer, I’ve developed a deep awareness of movement and expression, which enhances my acting roles. In fact, on several sets – including the Barbie-Mattel project, and a Living Spaces commercial – I’ve had the opportunity to incorporate dancing directly into my performances. For the past three years, I have also been involved in musical theater productions where I enjoy the combination of acting, dancing, and singing, often in lead roles. Dancing has become a big part of my life, and this unique skill set not only enriches my portrayal of characters but also infuses the set with dynamic energy, making every project even more exciting. Lastly, I have been enjoying creating content on social media and waiting to see where that will take me.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my family. They are my biggest support system, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. My mom is my momager and has been there for me every step of the way, guiding my career and helping me balance everything in my life. My dad and older sister always support me with love and encouragement, no matter what.
