Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Mccullough
Hi Chris, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hsu McCullough is an architecture studio based in Los Angeles specializing in custom home design rooted in comfort and unique beauty. We are led by principals Peggy Hsu, AIA and Chris McCullough, who envision and create exceptional places through a collaborative process with our clients.
Peggy and Chris each worked for a decade in leading residential architecture practices in Los Angeles gaining valuable experience and industry connections preparing themselves for their current run of 15 years of Hsu McCullough’s meticulous approach to architecture and interior design offering thoughtful and elegant solutions for all budget and schedule challenges.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Initial challenges for our studio were finding projects consistently.
We’ve been impressed with Hsu McCullough, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Hsu McCullough engages every detail of the architectural design process from initial project analysis to communicating the design vision through to construction completion. A Hsu McCullough space reflects the aspirations and lifestyles of our clients with a loyalty to natural light and an equal enjoyment of interior and exterior environments in all their many forms.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
All projects, the smallest to of course the largest should be considered. Craft your vision but learn to listen. Also document your completed projects by professionally photographing them. You will surprised who may see even your earliest, possibly modest work…
