Today we’d like to introduce you to Taleen Metcalf

Taleen , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been passionate about interior design. Since I was about 10 years old, I really enjoyed visiting my dad’s office, who is also an interior designer himself. I would help him with his projects, from picking finishes to assembling material boards for his next big meeting. I realized then that I wanted to pursue this as my dream job one day.

24 years later, after much experience in the LA & OC interior design market, I am proud to say I am now running my own brand. Through dedication, continuous learning, and building strong client relationships, I’ve grown my business to what it is today, offering full-service design that is both personal and innovative. So excited to see where this ship takes me!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been smooth sailing for the most part.

Starting a business comes with its own set of challenges. Balancing creative vision with the practical aspects of running a business was definitely a learning curve in the beginning. With any challenge, keeping an open mind and looking forward to the next big opportunity has been my motto as a business owner.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We design interior spaces. But what’s different about our brand is we are versatile. We love to take on new and challenging projects even if we don’t have the experience just yet. Our bread and butter has always been office tenant improvements but we decided to broaden that spectrum and make it so we are helping all varieties of clients.

Our current projects and where we see a demand for revently is residential design. We’ve jumped into that pool with full confidence and hoping the projects we have turn out to be beautiful at the end. We love designing for the client and to their needs/wants. That is why we have our custom metal and woodworking studio to really tailor it down to the details for our clients and get them exactly what they are looking for for their home.

We are proud of all our work so far – from really small to large. To make it this far – almost 3 years on our own is such a huge accomplishment!
