Hi CELINA, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, my interest in the arts began as a hobby—whether it be through drawing, painting, editing images, or creating vlogs and music videos. Despite my natural inclination to create, I never saw myself as particularly artistic compared to others. It wasn’t until my parents encouraged me to fully pursue the arts that I realized how deeply creativity and imagination resonated with me. Embracing this newfound awareness, I began dedicating my time to photography, capturing images of my peers and exploring various locations and studios to bring my vision to life. Over the years, working in diverse environments has given me the chance to collaborate with a wide range of models and photographers, significantly enhancing my knowledge and technique to this profession. These experiences have allowed me to experiment with different styles and niches, ultimately leading me to discover and refine my own unique approach.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey as a photographer has certainly had its challenges, but art has always been a universal language that has allowed me to grow and connect with others. In an era where digital images are quickly consumed and lost in the noise of social media, I find myself revisiting portraiture. The competitive nature of this industry can be daunting, especially for emerging artists who often face the risk of exploitation and struggle to establish themselves. Through various trials and experiences, I have learned to recognize the value of my work and navigate client expectations, from ensuring satisfaction with the final product to managing the business aspects like planning, pricing, and contracts. These lessons have strengthened my skills, fostered persistence, and kept me adaptable in a constantly evolving field. Over time, I have built a reputation for delivering high-quality work and nurturing strong client relationships, leading to repeat business and referrals. Although the path has been challenging, I am grateful for the growth it has brought me. Each experience has not only enhanced my technical abilities but also contributed to my development as a professional and individual. Behind the camera lens, I channel my creativity to showcase what I am truly capable of.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I believe that the human experience is a gift. Art, to me, is an invitation to open our senses to new perspectives, appreciating the value and intention behind every encounter. I strive to deepen my ability to connect with the world and express my character through creative outlets. Studying art has heightened my awareness of the rich experiences that infuse even the most ordinary moments with significance, and this insight fuels the adventures I embark on in my creative process.

The complexity of human nature has always fascinated me. As a photographer, I seek to highlight moments and characteristics of life that invite viewers to connect with or admire various aspects. My longstanding desire to help others, coupled with my growing interest in psychology and passion for people, now seamlessly integrates with my work. Through my photography, I aim to share stories, offering a fresh perspective on the diverse ways we experience the world. Building a strong, trusting relationship with my subjects is crucial. It allows them to express themselves comfortably during our sessions, which in turn helps me capture their authentic essence. I hope that these genuine moments resonate with viewers, fostering a deeper, more personal connection.

By creating a safe space for diverse voices and exploring untold narratives, my goal is to open myself and my audience to new opportunities, relationships, beginnings, and most importantly, new stories.

I’m excited to be launching my own event planning business, Film Code Dreamscapes.
