Meet Jane Goto of Glam Grows Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Goto

Hi Jane, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always dreamed of moving to LA ever since I was a little girl. It was a city that was always filled with so much life, light, and dreams. The city of opportunity and where dreams come true. I’ve always valued entertainment and what better place to be? LA is home to it….the hub of entertainment. I moved out here to pursue modeling and content creation. I started saving super young at 14 years old and used my whole life savings to move out to LA a few months after I graduated college in 2022.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely not been an easy road. I’m originally from Oklahoma. While I’ve always dreamed about moving across the country to my dream city, that was only a half of the work. The real work doesn’t start until you actually get here. I knew that…I understood that….but I didn’t realize what that truly meant, looked like, and entailed. You’re stepping into a new culture, everywhere you turn there’s somebody hustling just as hard as you and chasing the same dream as you. A lot of competition! In this day and age it gets so hard not to compare your successes to others and your failures as well. Even if you’re not comparing yourself, it’s hard to wonder why you haven’t achieved everything you’ve wanted yet . It’s also hard to remember that everybody’s paths and timelines are completely different. I’m in my 20s which is typically a weird time in life. I have a lot of time…but I don’t always feel that way. The amount of times I questioned if I was capable enough to pursue what I’m pursing or if I’m even good enough have been more than I can count. Honestly, I still have moments like that in this human experience.

As you know, we’re big fans of Glam Grows Media. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a model and content creator. However, realistically as an artist we know and understand that our artistry may not guarantee a booked and blessed check every single time. With that, I decided to use my arts, expertise, and business degree to have my black owned business, Glam Grows Media. It’s a digital marketing agency that specializes in social media management, website design, and business coaching. As an artist, you can never have too many things because you never know when or what comes next. Of course, you sign up for both the struggle and the excitement of the unknown when you pursue a career like this, but I like safety and security. I’m a Jane of many trades. With being the CEO of my own digital marketing agency, my job is to bring your virtual reality to life. I love helping others achieve their social media endeavors while equipping them with expertise and empowering them with the confidence to be fierce and fearless within themselves, the process, and beyond. The fun thing about the internet is it connects everyone together no matter who, what, or where you are. I have worked with lawyers, influencers, small businesses, creatives, and so on. In fact, this is my 10th year in the digital marketing social media space. I am an only child so I realized at a young age as humans the best resource we have is each other. Building a community is the best thing you can do, so let’s build together! I’m always looking to take on more clients. Take a look at my website for more information, send a message, and schedule a free consultation call. We are here to win, therefore we will succeed. Together.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’ve built everything you see from the ground up by myself and alone. Between the modeling, content creation, and business….I don’t have an assistant, agent, manager, employees, or a business partner. As fierce and confident as I am…I am super hard on myself. While it looks like I’ve accomplished so much, I never really feel that way. I don’t acknowledge and celebrate my accomplishments as much as I should. I always feel like I could be doing more or accomplishing more. People only see the success of the finished project. They don’t see the struggle, stress, time, and work actually put into it…they just see the amazing results. Which…is great! I want them to see amazing results that show why I’m so good at what I do. I’m juggling a lot at once and I don’t mind, but sometimes it gets to me because each area is its own world at a different pace. I am very thankful to say that I do have the biggest and the best support system in the world. I definitely wouldn’t have made it this far and able to handle all of this without those people.
