Community Highlights: Meet Stella Kae of SPORTS BIMBO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stella Kae

Hi Stella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started SPORTS BIMBO as a combat sports media concept in the beginning of 2023 after working as the only woman at a sports media company and being constantly undermined and underestimated as both a sports fan and sports creator.

I wanted to create a space for female fans to find community that was fight forward but also had a cute aesthetic and a woman’s POV.

SPORTS BIMBO creates content, community, merch, events and a weekly podcast for female fight fans.

After creating social content alone for over a year, I got a one year podcast and streaming deal with Bspoketv in April 2024 so this has been a really exciting time of growth!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The sport that I predominantly cover is MMA, which is not a welcoming environment for women so I’ve had to grow a really thick skin.

No one has ever done what I am doing before so that’s really interesting. Like there’s no other persons path to replicate or inspire me so I just kind of have to figure it all out on my own and hope that everything monetizes somehow.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is having the luxury to get out of bed every morning and follow my passions.
