Check Out Mika Jaxx’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mika Jaxx.

Hi Mika, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have started as guitarist in Brazil with a couple of projects in portuguese, after a while I’ve been to LA and the moment I went out to the airport I felt like home, it was in 2017 so I was growing up my daughter and my wife also loved the idea of moving here, so we married in Vegas and here we are. In the very beginning I was invited to form a new peoject called Area 55 which I love it, nice crew to work with and of course I keep working with brazilians artists cause we should never forget our roots.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never smooth [laughs] I was decided to compose new tracks, No time to waste playing other’s music or old stuff, We are always learning you can always deal with ego’s and bad stuff along the road, actually you won’t find sucess if you not fail a couple of times I just need to make sure that it’s better fail been myself thank trying to be someone or changing my way to play to make other ones happy. Get outta confort zone.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Rn I’m current guitarist for Area 55, Few years ago I got a O-1 visa which is a temporary work visa designated for individuals who have achieved and sustained national or international acclaim for extraordinary ability in arts or individuals who have demonstrated a record of extraordinary achievement in music, I’ve sent a couple of music I made and they approved after a couple of years me and my family got green cards for that.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
We actually took this time to write a new album everyone recorded them selves in lockdown also I have recorded another solo stuff called Mika Jaxx & Friends with a lot of talented people which was fun to do. Actually Area 55 is still working on those tracks, up to now we have dropped, NEVER TOO LATE, UNBREAKABLE and TIME HAS COME and There’s a LOT coming also. We decided to work each song at time this time always with the amizing Brendan Duffey and old crew engineers we met along the way. We probably will drop two more singles before the whole album comes out. Last week we’ve just recorded a music video for the upcoming single.
