Rising Stars: Meet Tara Harris of Los Angeles, CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Harris

Hi Tara , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The journey of creating Femeflex, the world’s first Pantiless Panty Liner, began after I underwent a medical procedure. During my recovery, wearing thongs became incredibly uncomfortable, and as someone who despises panty lines in my Lululemon or Alo leggings, I found myself in a bind. It was then that the idea struck me: if there are nipple covers for women, why isn’t there something similar for our most valuable lady part (MVLP)?

Thus, the concept of the Femeflex Pantiless Panty Liner, affectionately known as the “coochie sticker” or “vagina pasty,” was born. This innovative product aims to offer women the freedom and comfort of going without traditional underwear, while still providing the hygiene and discretion they need. The catchy term “coochie sticker” resonates particularly well with younger women, and we expect it to go viral across social media platforms.

Femeflex was developed out of necessity. I realized that there was a significant gap in the market for a product that offered the comfort of going commando without the drawbacks. My goal was to create something versatile that could be worn while working out, lounging, on a date, having lunch with friends, or even attending red carpet events. With plans to partner with athletic brands, Femeflex will offer an added benefit to their customers’ active lifestyles.

The journey to bring Femeflex to life wasn’t easy. It took roughly four years to find a manufacturing company willing to take on this innovative product. Throughout this time, I faced numerous rejections and discouragements, with many claiming that no one would wear a pantiless liner. But I never gave up. I networked relentlessly, seeking referrals and advice until I met Chris Nelson from Curt G Joa Inc. Chris was an angel in my journey; he referred me to Kyle Quinn, who provided sample materials in smaller quantities when I was struggling to meet the bulk requirements.

Finally, with the sample materials, I was able to produce 140,000 pantiless liners and set a launch date. This was a monumental achievement, especially without raising capital and managing everything on my own. Now, I am seeking investors to help take Femeflex to the next level.

Femeflex stands out because it focuses on freedom and liberation, rather than menstruation and periods like our indirect competitors. As the first product of its kind, Femeflex aims to change the narrative around the term “going commando,” providing women with a comfortable, discreet, and hygienic alternative to traditional underwear. This product is perfect for traveling, eliminating the need to bring back dirty underwear from trips—just throw away the liner at the end of the day.

Educating women about this new innovative product has been both a challenge and a joy. When I approach older women or those unfamiliar with the concept, explaining it as a “panty alternative” or “disposable undergarment” often brings a smile, even from the most prudish individuals. Some women are initially uncomfortable discussing the MVLP, but my personality and use of catchy phrases like “coochie sticker” help them open up.

Despite the initial challenges, the look of realization and excitement on women’s faces when they understand the concept is priceless. Femeflex is not just a product; it’s a movement towards greater comfort, freedom, and innovation in feminine hygiene.

Now, as we look to the future, Femeflex is poised to shake up the industry and redefine how women approach their hygiene routines. Join us in making history with this revolutionary product. Let’s change the way the world thinks about going commando, one coochie sticker at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of bringing Femeflex to life has been anything but smooth. As the creator of the world’s first Pantiless Panty Liner, I’ve faced numerous challenges and shed countless tears along the way. Each setback has been a learning experience, and though the road has been tough, the determination to see Femeflex succeed has kept me going.

From the inception of the idea, it was clear that creating an entirely new product category would not be easy. It took roughly four years to find a manufacturing company willing to produce the innovative Pantiless Panty Liner. During this time, I encountered repeated rejections and discouragement from those who doubted that such a product would find a market. Despite these obstacles, I never gave up.

Securing the raw materials for production was another significant hurdle. After finally finding a manufacturing partner, I faced the daunting requirement of purchasing materials in bulk quantities—up to 20,000 pounds. With no funds to cover this cost, I felt stuck. However, with the help of Chris Nelson from Curt G Joa Inc. and Kyle Quinn, who provided sample materials, I was able to produce the initial batch of 140,000 liners.

Now that Femeflex is available on Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Femeflex.co, the next challenge is scaling the business. Marketing is crucial, but it requires funds that I currently do not have. I am managing all aspects of the business myself because there are no available funds to hire help. This includes dealing with Patent Trade Mark Attorneys, Website Developers, Video Content Editors, Influencers, Social Media Managers, and Business Consultants. Each of these roles is essential for growth, yet without sufficient working capital, it is a constant struggle to keep everything running smoothly.

I am currently in discussions with potential investors to secure the working capital needed to meet these ongoing financial obligations. Every company needs advertising, and this is where Femeflex is currently lacking the most. Effective marketing is critical to reach more customers and expand our brand’s presence.

In order to scale Femeflex to the next level, I need funding. This will allow us to enhance our marketing efforts, hire the necessary team members, and continue to innovate and improve our products. The journey has been challenging, but the potential for Femeflex to revolutionize feminine hygiene keeps me motivated.

Your support and belief in Femeflex are crucial as we navigate this path. Together, we can take Femeflex to new heights, offering women around the world a product that provides comfort, freedom, and confidence. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I was a career-driven individual, taught to climb the corporate ladder and aim for the top. In the world of Human Resources, I knew that advancing to a C-suite position would require more than just experience; it demanded higher education. So, I made the decision to return to school and pursue an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Business Management.

Despite my efforts and newfound qualifications, I found myself struggling to secure a position that offered better compensation than my current role. The corporate path I had envisioned seemed increasingly out of reach. Becoming an entrepreneur was never part of my plan. It was an unexpected and unintended turn in my career.

What began as a simple idea gradually developed into a viable concept and ultimately became a tangible product. I discovered that I have the tenacity and determination to accomplish anything I set my mind to. This realization transformed my career trajectory, leading me down a path I had never anticipated but one that has become incredibly rewarding.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
This entrepreneurial journey has introduced me to many incredible people who have helped me reach where I am today. I firmly believe that success is rarely a solo endeavor; it requires the support and assistance of those who genuinely want to see you succeed. Along the way, I have encountered both good and bad individuals. While some were greedy and attempted to take advantage of my inexperience, others were selfless, offering their help without expecting anything in return.

The key to navigating this path is to surround yourself with people who have your best interests at heart. These are the individuals who will support you through thick and thin, providing guidance and encouragement without any ulterior motives.

So, what has worked well for me? First and foremost, having a strong support system has been crucial. Crying and venting to friends has been a cathartic release, allowing me to process my challenges and frustrations. Additionally, lots of prayers have helped me maintain faith and resilience during tough times.

As an entrepreneur, you must develop thick skin and fully commit to your vision. Success requires unwavering dedication and the willingness to persevere despite obstacles. Remember, you only fail if you give up. Embrace the journey, rely on your support system, and stay true to your goals. With determination and the right people by your side, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
