Hi Kimberly, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with skin health and beauty. This interest gained momentum during my teenage years, a period defined by my battle with severe acne. This personal journey propelled me into an extensive exploration of skincare, involving immersive sessions of YouTube tutorials and concocting DIY acne solutions at home. The intrigue persisted, extending into my nursing school years, hinting at a more profound connection to aesthetics. 

In 2012, I started my nursing career, initially focused on bedside care. However, the all too familiar burnout started creeping in. That’s when my love for skin health and makeup, rooted with my own battle with acne, took center stage. Nursing’s inherent flexibility allowed me to explore alternative specialties, drawing me into the captivating realms of dermatology and plastic surgery. Luckily for me, this coincided with the rise of Aesthetic medicine, a perfect match for my creative spirit. The harmonious blend of artistry, science, and medicine in the beauty and skin field became not just my profession but my passion. 

Fast forward to the present, after 12 years of navigating the dynamic landscape of healthcare, my collaboration with Aluma Medical Aesthetics has empowered me to establish my own business for the past two years. Witnessing the radiant transformation in my patients, as they light up with newfound confidence and address longstanding insecurities in mere minutes, is what truly fuels my journey as an Aesthetic Registered Nurse. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Embarking on my journey as an aesthetic registered nurse has been nothing short of a fulfilling adventure, but it’s safe to say it’s been far from easy. The road to success often winds through challenges, especially as I navigate the intricacies of the business side of nursing while ensuring an intimate connection with my clients. Maintaining the personalized environment that defines my clinic has been crucial throughout the years. In the realm of Aesthetics, building profound connections with patients stands out as the cornerstone of my practice. 

Reflecting on the early days, aesthetic trainings were scarce, making the learning curve steep. Thankfully, today’s accessibility to training resources and the ability to connect with colleagues worldwide has been a game-changer. Challenges inevitably arise, yet each one becomes an opportunity to work harder and embrace the role of a humble student in this ever-evolving field of medicine.

With a focus on crafting naturally beautiful lip filler results, I’ve made it my mission to challenge the misconception that fillers appear artificial. My expertise lies in achieving outcomes that are refreshingly natural, steering away from the stereotypical “overdone” look. As an Aesthetic Registered Nurse, my approach transcends the typical injection narrative. It’s about empowering individuals to embrace their unique beauty, whether they’re newcomers or seasoned veterans in aesthetic treatments. I prioritize personalized connections, listening to goals, and providing education, ensuring clients make informed choices when they’re ready to proceed. In my practice, integrity, trust, and the formation of enduring friendships are paramount. Continual education is not just a choice but a commitment, allowing me to refine and integrate advanced techniques that prioritize both safety and optimal, natural results. 

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
A surprising element that might not be widely known about my work is my genuine enthusiasm for full-face Botox and dermal filler treatments. While specific procedures garner attention, lip augmentations are how most clients find me, treating the face comprehensively brings me immense satisfaction. Witnessing the transformative impact of Botox and the versatile magic of dermal fillers across the entire face is where I find the most reward in my practice. It’s not just about individual treatments; it’s about sculpting a harmonious and naturally enhanced canvas that reflects the unique beauty of each client.
